Is Wolfs Sequel Being Scrapped? Learn As Director Jon Watts Gives Saddening Update

As a dedicated fan who has followed the cinematic adventures of George Clooney and Brad Pitt for decades, I must admit that the news about the scrapping of the Wolfs sequel left me feeling rather like a wolf without a pack. Having eagerly awaited the reunion of these two charismatic con artists since their Ocean’s 11 days, this sudden turn of events has left me somewhat bewildered and heartbroken.

Spectators were thrilled to witness yet another adventure featuring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, this time working together to deceive the world. The dynamic duo from Ocean’s Eleven has recently reunited for the Apple TV+ movie titled “Wolves.

Even though discussions about a sequel were ongoing, director Jon Watts has shared some disheartening developments. This information surfaces nearly three months after Apple sealed a deal with Watts to collaborate on the upcoming action crime thriller’s sequel.

In a recent conversation with Collider, Jon Watts expressed that he’s currently unsure about his upcoming directorial project and does not anticipate a Wolfman sequel.

The interview was about Watt’s new Disney+ Star Wars show, the Skeleton Crew series.

According to Variety’s report, it appears that the plans for a sequel to Apple TV+’s unnamed project have been canceled, as they consulted individuals familiar with the film’s production.

This update is in response to Apple TV+’s surprising decision made in August, where they switched from a wide theatrical release to a more restricted one instead.

Initially, the movie hit theaters for a one-week, limited screening on September 20th. Yet, it didn’t take long before it became accessible for streaming on Apple TV+, starting from September 27th.

The movie we’re referring to had a lavish debut at the Venice Film Festival in early September, and during this event, its two main actors made an appearance on the iconic red carpet.

After its debut on Apple TV+, the streaming service highlighted that the new feature had become one of the most-watched additions ever on their platform.

Wolves” is an exhilarating movie that combines action and humor, masterfully penned and steered by Jon Watts. This film boasts a stellar ensemble including Brad Pitt, George Clooney, along with Amy Ryan and Richard Kind.

One notable actor featured in the movie is Frances McDormand, famously known for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
