As a dedicated follower and avid fan of both Tim Burton’s enchanting world and the captivating performances of Jenna Ortega, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon learning that our beloved director will be gracing us with his presence in the upcoming season of Wednesday.
We’ve all been captivated by Wednesday’s performance. The incredible acting abilities of Jenna Ortega didn’t go unnoticed, and we can’t forget Tim Burton’s exceptional work in bringing his talent to our screens. However, the question remains: will he return to television following the success of Beetlejuice? According to Al Gough, the talented director is set to direct several episodes of the series.
In a recent interview with Collider, Gough, who is one of the two co-creators, and Miles Millar spilled the beans about Tim Burton’s involvement as a director for the second season of Wednesday.
He’s currently working on four projects. He’s progressing at a pace similar to how he worked during Season 1 of whatever the subject is, as mentioned by Gough.
For those who might not know, Burton was responsible for the initial part of Season 1 on Wednesday’s episodes, while the latter half was shared by Gandja Monteiro and James Marshall.
Discussing Burton’s collaboration with Jenna Ortega, Gough pointed out that the director truly enjoys working with the actress from Miller’s Girl. Intriguingly, despite expecting him to not come back for another season, it turns out that he has returned unexpectedly.
Apart from stating this, Al Gough emphasized that when Tim Burton feels passion for something, it’s not just a casual interest – he immerses himself entirely, and this fervor is likely why the sequel to Beetlejuice has been such a massive hit at the box office.
He had no other motive but a desire to create that particular film, as well as a wish to share that specific tale,” Gough stated.
In the continuation of the interview, the co-creator provided insights into the progress of the upcoming season featuring the talented cast of Wednesday. He disclosed that the production of the next season has already advanced to halfway completion. Additionally, he mentioned that the director known for Edward Scissorhands is still actively involved in his role.
According to Collider, the cast and crew resumed filming on set in May, with everything proceeding smoothly since then. Notably, there will be a two-year interval between the last episode of Season 1 and the debut of Season 2 for this series, marking a significant gap between seasons.
Examining the current situation, it’s evident that numerous opportunities exist for various events to unfold within the series this season.
The upcoming season promises to be packed with additional excitement and a hint of terror. Notably, it will depart from the romantic aspect that characterized its initial season.
