He even attempted to swindle money from Felicity Drumm, but her parents’ timely intervention thwarted his plan. Undeterred, he then set his sights on Simone Banerjee, marking her as his next target.

In a deceitful act, Malcolm Webster pretended to have cancer, seeking sympathy and affection from Simone. Unbeknownst to her, he also had sinister plans – he intended to murder Simone for her wealth. His manipulative tactics continued to torment Simone until Detective Inspector Charlie Henry took on the case and eventually apprehended him.

Intriguing cast of The Widower

In the show, Reece Shearsmith takes on the role of Malcolm Webster’s character, impressing Simone so much that she felt his performance was nearly perfect (99% accurate). The series also included real-life interviews with Simone and scenes from Felicity, which added layers to the storyline and the overall feel of the series.
