As a devoted fan of The Beatles, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming biopic “Midas Man,” which tells the story of their legendary manager Brian Epstein. Having grown up listening to The Beatles and being deeply fascinated by their journey to fame, I’ve always been intrigued by the man behind the music – Brian Epstein.
As a dedicated fan of The Beatles, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming biopic “Midas Man” will put the spotlight on their legendary manager Brian Epstein. This captivating film will make its debut at the 32nd Toronto Jewish Film Festival and delve into Epstein’s extraordinary rise and unfortunate demise.
Midas Man is a biopic about The Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein
In simpler terms, the BBC miniseries “The Queen’s Gambit” actor Jacob Fortune-Lloyd portrays Brian Epstein, who sadly passed away due to a drug overdose in 1967 during The Beatles’ peak popularity. Directed by Joe Stephenson and penned by Brigit Grant, the film “Midas Man” premiered at the 32nd Toronto Jewish Film Festival on May 30, 2024. According to its website, this production is the definitive account of Epstein’s remarkable life and the first cinematic tribute to honor him. It aims to grant Epstein’s unfulfilled wish – stardom in films.
The movie covers an extraordinary era of cultural transformation and upheaval, taking us from the bleak city streets of war-time Liverpool to the psychedelically hued setting of Abbey Road.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d be happy to share with you an intriguing detail about the upcoming film “Midas Man.” In this production, Fortune-Lloyd isn’t the only renowned actor gracing our screens. Emily Watson brings Epstein’s mother to life, Eddie Marsan plays his father with finesse, and Jay Leno adds a touch of humor as Ed Sullivan.
The rights to Midas Man has been sold
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve learned that Briarcliff Entertainment has acquired the North American distribution rights for “Midas Man,” according to Variety’s latest report. In this exciting venture, we’ll be working closely with Studio POW and American Entertainment Investors to bring this film to audiences across North America.
As an obsessed fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the brilliant minds behind the scenes of this production. I’m thrilled to be part of the team led by Perry Trevers, Jeremy Chatterton, William Dietrich, and Richard Holmes, joined by Beattie and Reeve. And that’s not all! Our executive producers include Ortenberg, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Steffen Wild, Asaf Nawi, Mark Borkowski, Peter Dunne, Jordan Reeve again, Saskia Thomas, and Ian Hutchinson. What a powerhouse of talent! I feel so fortunate to be in such capable hands.
Briarcliff Entertainment has previously released movies such as “The Marksman,” “Don’t Let Go,” and “Sweetwater,” featuring Liam Neeson in the sports biopic “Sweetwater.” The company is also responsible for distributing critically acclaimed documentaries like “The Dissident” and “Gabby Giffords Won’t Back Down.”
