The gripping action-thriller from Amazon Prime Video, titled Reacher, continues to captivate audiences, as it has been officially greenlit for a fourth installment. In this series, Alan Ritchson takes on the character of Jack Reacher.

The popular Jack Reacher book series penned by Lee Child, upon which the television series was based, has achieved streaming success. In early 2025, Season 3 of this show took the lead in viewership rankings, as reported by Nielsen. The upcoming season is said to be an original creation rather than a direct adaptation, suggesting it may introduce unexpected aspects into the world of Reacher.

The series centers around Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson, a massive drifter who finds himself entangled in dangerous plots. In the finale of season 3, Reacher outwits the formidable Paulie and sets off on another lone journey, sticking true to his wandering nature as the character’s nomadic existence continues.

With an abundant collection of works totaling 29 books and another one in progress, there is more than enough material available for upcoming episodes. Despite the recent disruptions caused by the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes, production on Reacher remains smooth and polished.

Currently, it’s planned that Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, will have her own spin-off series debuting before Season 4.

Ritchson expressed his enthusiasm to Men’s Journal about Season 4 potentially adapting his preferred book, Die Trying. He stated, “I really hope it does. So far, there’s been a lot of debate about whether or not we should. Time will tell what happens next. I’ll make it happen if I can.
