Is Prince Harry Keeping His Late Mother Princess Diana’s Landmine Legacy Alive? Find Out

As a dedicated follower of the Royal Family, I have been deeply moved by Prince Harry’s commitment to keeping his mother, Princess Diana’s legacy alive. His visit to The Halo Trust in New York City was a testament to his unwavering dedication to their shared cause.

Prince Harry is committed to preserving the memory of his mother, the late Princess Diana. During his recent trip to New York City, he made a point to visit The Halo Trust, an organization focused on achieving a mine-free world. This cause was deeply important to Princess Diana, who actively advocated for it before her passing.

As a devoted supporter, I’m proud to be part of an organization that has been actively operating in over 30 countries and territories worldwide. Our mission is to rid these lands of dangerous landmines and war debris, making them safe for communities to rebuild and thrive. In a remarkable demonstration of our commitment, back in 1997, the former Princess of Wales bravely walked through an active minefield in Huambo, Angola, a moment that significantly boosted our international standing.

Prince Harry has been carrying on his mother’s work by serving as the representative of the organization at significant events throughout its history. In 2019, he paid tribute to Diana by walking through the same minefield in Angola where she had once walked, mirroring an iconic moment from her life. On September 23, Prince Harry attended an event hosted by The Halo Trust and delivered a powerful speech.

At the recent Halo Trust event, a man named Valdemir Fernandes, who had been with Diana during her significant minefield walk in Angola, shared that The HALO Trust’s work in Angola was deeply meaningful to his mother. He emphasized that upholding her legacy is a heavy burden he carries with utmost gravity.

“It was very important,” he said about the Princess’s gesture. Before her visit, there was little awareness of the mine problem around the world. “And when she visited Angola in 1997, she managed to bring international attention to the issue,” he added.

On such a momentous day, I couldn’t help but reminisce about the late Princess herself. She wasn’t afraid; instead, she seemed content and fully understood the significance of what she was doing. As for Prince Harry, he’s truly excelling in his efforts for this cause – he’s doing wonderfully well!

The Duke appeared deeply moved and emotional as he followed in his late mother’s footsteps, as described by a bystander. “His face showed just how emotional it was — it overwhelmed him completely,” he stated. Furthermore, Fernandes shared with PEOPLE that Harry’s heartfelt speech at the event left him feeling touched by the sincerity and dedication shown towards the cause.
