Is Marvel Looking For New Actor To Play Black Panther? Rumors Explored

After the four-year absence following Chadwick Boseman’s passing, Marvel Studios is now contemplating the introduction of a fresh character taking on the role of Black Panter.

As reported by renowned Hollywood source Jeff Sneider, an actor had been given the opportunity to take on the role during the autumn season.

According to The Direct, Sneider stated that since Marvel is rearranging their plans before ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ and Robert Downey Jr. may return as Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man, it seems that the possibility exists for T’Challa to be recast through the power of the multiverse.

He went on to explain that the part had been given to an unidentified actor a couple of months following Downey’s major reveal at Comic-Con, but they declined it as they were hesitant to risk their movie career by taking over the role previously played by the late 21 Bridges actor.

Jeff Sneider further mentioned that it remains uncertain whether a fresh T’Challa character will make an appearance in the upcoming Avengers films (either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars). Yet, whoever assumes the role in the future is likely to show up in the next Black Panther movie.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Director Ryan Coogler and renowned actor Denzel Washington have both weighed in on Black Panther 3.

As reported by Jeff Sneider, Ryan Coogler is expected to have a major influence on the process of selecting a new actor for the renowned superhero character. Additionally, Boseman’s family will be involved in the decision-making process as well.

In the year 2020, Chadwick Boseman sadly lost his life at the tender age of 43, after a quiet struggle against colon cancer.
