Is Justin Bieber in a Cult? Former Friend and Best Man of His Wedding to Hailey Baldwin Slams Pastor

It’s said that Justin Bieber seems to be pulling away from his long-term companions, with some speculating that his church might be influencing this change. As per TMZ’s latest documentary, “TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber?” available on Hulu, some of Bieber’s previous friends suspect he’s being deliberately kept apart by Churchome, a church in Beverly Hills that he frequents, and its pastor, Judah Smith.

Among those who have moved away from Justin Bieber’s close circle is Ryan Good, who served as best man at Bieber’s wedding and held a creative role in his clothing line, Drew House. Reports from TMZ suggest that the rift occurred following Good’s departure from Churchome, where he felt it exhibited traits of a cult. As detailed in a documentary, Bieber and Pastor Judah reportedly addressed concerns with Good regarding his personal lifestyle, particularly his romantic relationships.

Additionally, it’s reported they confronted Scooter Braun, a Jew and previous manager of Bieber, on his lack of faith in Jesus. These occurrences have sparked worries regarding the extent to which the church might be influencing Bieber’s personal life.

Churchome’s pastor Judah Smith dismissed cult accusations humorously during a recent sermon: “If we’re a cult, we’re the most lax one ever!” he quipped. “We only gather once a month!” He further joked, “I used to do this every week, but we need to step up our game.

Smith recently disclosed that he had been questioned by paparazzi about whether Churchome is a cult. In his words, “That’s something new for me.” As he stepped out of his car, he was immediately surrounded by photographers… A woman then inquired: “Is this a cult or not?

Previously, Churchome has been subject to criticism. In the year 2023, the church found itself embroiled in a lawsuit filed by an employee, who alleged that they were compelled to donate 10% of their total earnings to the church. This legal action sparked debates about the church’s internal procedures, but the final resolution remains undecided.

Last month, on Instagram, Bieber tackled the mounting conjecture. In his post, he said, “Guilt can find solace… Not through attending church or reading scriptures. Instead, understand that God grants forgiveness.
