James Gunn has confirmed and given a sneak peek about his participation in Superman Day, possibly suggesting that a major trailer might be released within the coming week.
When is Superman Day?
Next Friday, the 18th of April, 2025, marks Superman Day! Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is all set to celebrate this occasion with a special one-day Superman-themed tour spanning their expansive 110-acre backlot.
Currently, James Gunn, who shares the leadership role at DC University, as well as being a writer and director, has publicly confirmed his participation in Superman Day through social media platforms. This announcement was also made by Jim Lee, who holds the positions of President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer at DC Comics.
Jim Lee and I reminisced about seeing the original Superman in the very theater where we grew up, right here in St Louis. Why don’t you share your own Superman story in the comments below? Let’s celebrate #SupermanDay together on April 18th! Don’t forget to check out the S-Shield tee at DC Shop! #SupermanDay

Trailer release
It’s uncertain exactly when the next Superman trailer will drop, but it appears that it could be sometime near April 18th.
The marketing campaign for the movie began vigorously in April, featuring a longer 5-minute sneak peek and a showcase at CinemaCon. You can watch it here: [insert link]
On the morrow, which is Friday, signifies that we are exactly three months from the premiere of Superman. In less than a week, on April 18th, we’ll be two and a half months away from the film’s release. It’s reasonable to anticipate some kind of promotional activities for the movie.
Release info
I’m really excited about the upcoming release of James Gunn‘s “Superman,” which drops first internationally on July 9th, followed by its U.S. premiere on July 11th! In this reimagining, David Corenswet steps into the shoes of Clark Kent and the iconic role of the Man of Steel. Nicholas Hoult brings his acting prowess to portray Lex Luthor, while Rachel Brosnahan shines as Lois Lane. Can’t wait to see it!
