According to recent reports, it seems that Neil Patrick Harris will appear as a guest in the revival of the serial killer drama, Dexter: Revival.
As reported by Variety, specifics regarding Neil Patrick Harris’s character are being tightly guarded, with only the revelation that his character’s name is Lowell being made public.
Production for Dexter: Revival kicked off in January of this year, right here in New York City. The upcoming Showtime follow-up show will premiere first on Paramount+, followed by a broadcast on Showtime come summertime.
Notably, it’s been announced that Michael C. Hall will once again take on the role of Dexter Morgan, and Uma Thurman has been cast as the character Charlie in this production.
In the upcoming series, you’ll find renowned actors like David Zayas portraying Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott taking on the role of Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, Kadia Saraf stepping into the character of Detective Claudette Wallace, and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine bringing Blessing Kamara to life.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that in this upcoming series, I’ll be joining an exceptional ensemble cast. I’ll be stepping into the shoes of Detective Melvin Oliva, portrayed by Dominic Fumusa. You’ll also see Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera and James Remar as Dexter’s father, Harry Morgan. Notably, the talented Peter Dinklage will bring Leon Prater to life. Furthermore, the renowned Krysten Ritter has been announced to grace our screens as a special guest star. This promising lineup promises an engaging and captivating viewing experience!
As a diehard Dexter fan here, let me clarify for fellow enthusiasts that Dexter: Resurrection isn’t connected to the 2024 prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin. Instead, it delves into the gripping tale of a young Dexter, portrayed by Patrick Gibson, as he transitions from student life to embracing his dark destiny as a serial killer.
In the upcoming series “Dexter: Ressurection,” production will be overseen by Clyde Phillips, who has worked on Dexter in the past and will also assume the role of showrunner. Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios are the production companies for this project. Michael C. Hall, Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns have all been named as executive producers.
In this role as a devoted follower, I’m excited to share that I, personally, will be working as the Producing Director for the upcoming series. Meanwhile, Monica Raymund has been assigned to direct four episodes. Interestingly, my responsibilities extend to six of the series’ installments.
