Is Angelina Jolie Dating Rapper Akala? Insiders Issue Clarification Amid Duo’s Venice Spotting

As a lifestyle expert with a knack for deciphering Hollywood’s intricate web of relationships, I must say that Angelina Jolie‘s life has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. From her humanitarian work to her high-profile relationships and divorces, she continues to captivate the world’s attention.

Contrary to earlier rumors suggesting they’ve been an item for more than a year, Angelina Jolie and rapper Akala are not dating. The speculation surrounding their relationship has resurfaced following their exit from a hotel in Venice on August 28th. It should be noted that Angelina is currently in Venice attending the ongoing Venice Film Festival.

A source shared with People on Thursday, August 29, that she and Akala aren’t romantically involved. Instead, they are friends, which includes her friendship with his partner, Chanelle, who happened to be present as well.

Prior to the appearance of pictures of the two individuals within an Italian city, InTouch magazine reported in May that Jolie, aged 49, was said to have been involved with Akala for over a year.

A different source disputing the initial claim told People that Angelina and the musician-activist have had a friendship spanning several years.

“According to sources, they both have a strong interest in and actively support social and humanitarian matters, particularly concerning human rights. They’ve worked together on numerous projects throughout the years. Angelina speaks very positively about him. It’s also worth mentioning that Angelina Jolie is currently unattached.”

Speculations about the actress’s love life come eight years after she divorced Brad Pitt.

After their high-profile separation, they’ve been involved in numerous lawsuits concerning their real estate, businesses, and the custody of their six kids – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.

At the 2024 Venice Film Festival, both Jolie and Pitt are making an appearance. Jolie, the actress, is there to publicize her latest venture titled Maria, in collaboration with director Pablo Larraín. Meanwhile, Pitt is at the festival to spotlight his upcoming movie called Wolfs.

Festival artistic director Alberto Barbera has informed Vanity Fair that the former lovers’ public appearances on the red carpet will be strategically scheduled to minimize any potentially uncomfortable encounters between them.

On Thursday, Angelina, who was honored with an eight-minute standing ovation for her movie about the life of opera singer Maria Callas, seems ready to depart from Venice. Conversely, Brad Pitt is expected to make his way into the city on Saturday, as reported by Barbera.
