90’s Melrose Place enthusiasts are in for a blast from the past as the show is set to return, bringing back a wave of nostalgia. Indeed, you heard it correctly! Actress Laura Leighton and other original cast members discussed this at a 90’s convention.

At an event in Florida on September 14th, as reported by People, Heather Locklear, Brooke Langton, Josie Bissett, Grant Show, and Daphne Zuniga joined Leighton and other cast members on a panel.

Zuniga announced that everyone is on board with the plan to resurrect it. Zuniga and Leighton have been working on this project for some time now. She also informed fans that negotiations are ongoing regarding this matter. Zuniga further added, “The legal team and business representatives are discussing it, and they’re keen on making it happen.” She also revealed that they would move forward once the discussions are finalized.

Leighton emphasized that starting the new show required many different components to fall into place. She hinted at the importance of everything coming together just right, and expressed a strong desire for the success of the series, not only from their perspective but also that of its dedicated followers.

According to recent reports I’ve come across, I’m thrilled to share that the actress has subtly suggested a comeback for the beloved series, focusing on revisiting the original characters. She hinted that this time around, we’ll delve into what their lives have become 30 years down the line.

Leighton elaborated by mentioning numerous tales, theories, and extraordinarily imaginative ideas from fans, demonstrating the widespread curiosity about what might have become of those characters.

Apart from mentioning they were amicable, she added that these individuals were quite easy-going and had a deep affection for each other in the past. They couldn’t envision anything more delightful than reuniting and sharing a fresh tale soon. She pointed out that those characters were exceptionally vibrant, and there was always something intriguing happening among them.

The actress went on, expressing, “I don’t believe there’s a single person not intrigued. After all, who wouldn’t wonder about Jo’s child? What kind of life would Jo’s 26-year-old child be leading now? And what could possibly be happening between Jo’s child and Amanda at this moment? These characters are so vibrant that any author would jump at the chance to explore them further.

For those not familiar, the show was developed by Darren Star and broadcast from 1992 to 1999. It was a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210. This drama series primarily focused on a group of young adults residing in an apartment building in West Hollywood.
