Fans of the animated series *Invincible* faced a lengthy wait of two and a half years between its first and second seasons, though the gap between seasons two and three was shorter. Recently, at New York Comic Con (NYCC), Prime Video announced that the wait for season four won’t be as long. They unveiled a new teaser trailer and confirmed a release date of March 2026. The funny, self-aware trailer shows Invincible (Mark Grayson) and Atom Eve discussing the show’s future while sitting in a Burger Mart amidst a ruined city. You can watch the teaser trailer here.
At New York City Comic Con, the voice actors Steven Yeun and Gillian Jacobs, along with co-creator and showrunner Robert Kirkman, unveiled a new teaser for the series. They also announced that Lee Pace, known for his role in *Foundation*, will be joining the cast as Thragg. In the original comic book, Thragg is the main villain of *Invincible*. He’s the strongest Viltrumite and currently leads the Viltrum Empire. Taking over after the first Emperor died, Thragg is solely focused on the Viltrumite mission – to make their empire dominate the entire universe. He was raised from birth to be a leader and rules through force, ruthlessness, and sheer determination, aiming to restore Viltrum to its former power no matter the cost.
Season three of *Invincible* is now Prime Video’s most popular animated season ever. The show gained even more fans during its two-year break. With 144 issues published over fifteen years, the original comic book by *The Walking Dead* creator Robert Kirkman provides a wealth of source material – enough for not only season five, but for many seasons to come. All three seasons of *Invincible* are currently streaming on Prime Video.
