As a die-hard Marvel fan who has been following the MCU since its inception, I must say that the Hulk situation is as intriguing as ever. With his last appearance in She-Hulk back in 2022 and rumors swirling about his potential roles in upcoming films, it’s a rollercoaster ride of speculation and anticipation.
In recent years, Hulk has become one of Marvel’s most beloved characters and a central figure within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He made a recent appearance in the 2022 series “She-Hulk,” where he introduced his son to audiences. Although he’s been referenced in various projects, fans are eagerly anticipating his return on the silver screen.
Initially, there were whispers that Hulk would show up in “Captain America: Brave New World,” but Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk, later clarified that he does not actually have a part in the film.
Currently, industry expert Alex Perez has expressed his opinions about Hulk’s potential role in the MCU during a Discord Q&A session. Contrary to the excitement surrounding the speculated World War Hulk plotline, it seems that we won’t be seeing Hulk in action for some time.
It has been confirmed by Alex Perez that Mark Ruffalo will not show up in “Brave New World”, “Fantastic Four: First Steps”, or “Thunderbolts” before “Doomsday”. This is logical as Hulk’s presence isn’t crucial for the narratives of those movies.
Additionally, Perez mentioned whispers about a “Maestro Hulk” character potentially showing up in upcoming multiverse films. However, he emphasized that the appearance of Maestro within the Multiverse Saga is contingent on Marvel choosing to incorporate him into their plans.
Master, it’s feasible that he can join the Multiverse Saga, but only if they choose to include him.
There’s still a chance that Hulk could star in his own film. About a year ago, Mark Ruffalo shared that he was initially informed he wouldn’t receive a solo movie, but instead, his character’s tale would develop within other productions.
Primarily, this situation arises due to the intricate ownership rights over the character, held by Universal. While rumors suggest that this matter has been addressed, solid evidence supporting this claim is still lacking.
Pérez seemed to suggest that a fresh Hulk film might be on the horizon, alluding to a secretive Marvel initiative titled “Shadowstone Productions“, known for its connection with the Hulk character.
Hey Alex! I understand that questions about Hulk can sometimes get pretty complex, but let’s keep it simple here. There’s been a lot of chatter lately regarding the possible development of a Wolverine versus Hulk film (with sources like Cryptic, MTTSH, and others fueling the buzz). My query is: are we looking at one movie—Wolverine vs Hulk—or are World War Hulks and this potential project separate/distinct productions?
Alex Perez’s Suggestion: Merging those two storyline concepts for a single film might not be the wisest choice, and I believe they should stand as separate movies instead. However, I am confident that a Hulk movie is on its way. There remains the enigma of Marvel Production called “Shadowstone Productions,” which we mentioned 2 years ago. Given that Shadowstone is linked to the Hulk through a Marvel mineral, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for developments in this situation.
