Indiana Jones Great Circle: All safe codes and locations

In this adventure reminiscent of Indiana Jones, you’re about to uncover a trove of money, secrets, and prizes by delving into the mysteries hidden within Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Right from the game’s initial hub, you’ll stumble upon chests and safes stuffed with treasures tucked away in every nook and cranny. Each one of these concealed riches is protected by a code that you must decipher to unlock them, which will challenge your problem-solving skills at every turn.

We’ll explain every secure and treasure chest location within Great Circle, as well as any other chests we’ve discovered that don’t require special keys or solutions to open them.

All Vatican safe codes – Indiana Jones Great Circle

Courtyard tent safe

Most likely, the initial chest requiring a code is situated directly in front of the main entrance to Vatican City’s courtyard, inside a tent. Nearby, you’ll spot a tag with its numbers charred off, but don’t fret because the owner has written those crucial numbers on the other side of the card.

With that, we can work out that the code for this chest is 5238.

Sistine Chapel safe – Secret of Secrets mystery

Hidden in the rear area of the Sistine Chapel, you’ll come across a secure box surrounded by statues depicting various saints and an astronomical map showing emblems for each planet. The same emblems can also be seen at the bottoms of other statues within the room.

Put them together and you get the code 4471.

Post Office cellar safe

Just around the bend from the main entrance, you’ll find a modest slope descending to the basement of the Vatican Post Office. You’ll want to visit this place when procuring some stone tablets for your fieldwork. Upon doing so, a guard dressed in black will halt you. Search their person and you’ll discover a note containing the combination for a safe located within the cellar.

The message indicates that the alteration occurred in November from the previous year. Since the game takes place in 1937, this equates to the numerical representation of years: 1936 + 11 = 1947, but since we’re discussing a date within the game, it would be more accurate to say that the code is 47.

Museum garden safe – A Day to Remember mystery

You can access this location once you’ve advanced sufficiently in the “A Nun in Trouble” fieldwork. Infiltrate through the barbed-wire blocked main courtyard, then enter the door located at the northwest corner. Follow it around until you emerge into the garden and proceed to the tent where the safe is kept.

To locate two notes close by, one of them is in the desk drawer, where you’ll find a code cipher. The other note contains the code “DICE,” while the other reveals the date the safe was shipped. You’ll want to use the code for Friday, which translates to 6308.

Museum storage safe

In Great Circle’s museum, one of Europe‘s Lost Artifacts resides within a secure safe. This can be discovered towards the end of the storage level during the A Nun in Trouble investigation. Nearby, an illuminated green lamp sits atop a crate; turning it off will expose the safe’s combination as 7171.

Borgia Tower safe – Father and Son mystery

Here’s another puzzle, this one called “A Nun in Trouble” fieldwork. To obtain a unique key from Gina that unlocks a mid-tower door you’ve previously scaled while saving the nun, you must first solve this puzzle completely. Head out onto the balcony, then enter the door on your right to discover the safe.

Within it lies a poem containing eight marked letters, along with a decoding table featuring those characters. To decode the message, locate the coordinates I-R, I-A, T-A, and S-O on the chart, which will give you the code 5873.

Vatican chest locations

Additionally to these safes, you might stumble upon unlocked treasure chests from time to time. The contents inside are usually not as precious due to their open state, but they’re up for grabs nonetheless. Here’s a list of the ones we’ve discovered thus far:

OR

Occasionally among these safes, you can come across unlocked chests. Their contents may not be as valuable because of this, but they’re still there to be collected. Below is a list of those we’ve found so far:

  • In the restricted military zone in the northwest corner of the map, in the tent closest to the entrance on the right.
  • By the fountain that you visit as part of the main quest.
  • Down the path from the fountain in a pile of crates behind a military truck.

Vatican lockbox locations

These tiny safes can be opened using any tool, and they contain a substantial amount of money inside, so make sure you don’t overlook any of them. The following are the ones we’ve managed to locate:

  • On the balcony of Borgia Tower, around the corner from the door you use to reach the Borgia Tower safe.
  • In the storage truck by the fountain, you visit during the main quest.
  • On a stack of small crates next to the A Day to Remember safe
  • In the restricted military zone in the main courtyard, in the southeasternmost tent.
  • In the office next to the one containing the A Snake in the Garden mystery, on the desk.

All Gizeh safe codes – Indiana Jones Great Circle

In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, rather than wide-open Egyptian landscapes, you’ll find a Nazi encampment in Indiana instead, guarding a secret stash of treasure scattered throughout the area. As an esteemed archaeologist, your mission is to retrieve these artifacts from their grasp. However, most of them are concealed within safes and chests that only unlock with specific combinations.

Weather station safe – Cloud Atlas mystery

You’ll discover an engaging mini-puzzle hidden within a weather station located northwest of the workers’ district. Inside, you’ll unearth a message and a diary detailing various cloud formations observed at different times during the day. Your task is to match these two documents and utilize the number assigned to each image in the cloud atlas to decipher the code.

This version maintains the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-understand language for a clearer reading experience.

Do it correctly and you’ll get the code 0609 to open the safe.

Roadside safe – Bright Future mystery

In this instance, the safe isn’t typically located near the code-providing note like most safes in the game. The safe can be found by the roadside to the northeast of the excavation site, whereas the note containing the code is situated in a restricted area on the western side of the map.

The combination for this safe is 0926, but unlike other safes, upon opening it, you’ll discover sticks of dynamite already lit inside. It’s best to leave the area immediately. You won’t receive any tangible rewards, but you will earn research points for solving the Bright Future mystery.

Nazi compound safe

In the basement of the multi-tiered Nazi complex during your quest for Voss, you’ll discover a safe. To reach it, make your way to the room at the very back on the ground floor. This particular safe differs from the others as it requires a five-digit code to unlock. The key is that the code resembles the one for the Roadside safe, but with an additional digit placed at the front.

The code for this safe is 40926.

Nazi garage safe

As a curious fan, I’ve uncovered some intriguing clues about the Bright Future mystery in Gizeh. Nestled within the same restricted zone where the enigmatic note for this mystery resides, I stumbled upon the last safe. In the northern section of that area, there’s a garage, and it was on the back of one of the trucks parked inside that I discovered this safe. There wasn’t any elaborate puzzle to solve here; instead, a simple glance around the garage revealed a note bearing the code 0805.

Gizeh chest locations

Additionally, there are some chests in Giza that do not need a code for opening. Here is the collection of those we’ve discovered so far:

This version maintains the original meaning while using simpler language and a more natural flow.

  • In the restricted section in the west. Between the bunk beds in the easternmost tent.
  • In the restricted section in the west. In the office in the westernmost tent.
  • In a tent in the Nazi recreational area in the center of the map.
  • In the digsite next to the giant pyramid in the west, by the entrance of the wooden building.

  • In the ruins opposite the Sphinx on a desk.
  • In the restricted section in the west. On a table in the easternmost tent.
  • In the Nazi garage on a table on the left-hand side.

  • In the restricted section in the west. On a table in the westernmost tent.
  • On the top close of the Nazi compound.

All Sukhothai safe codes – Indiana Jones Great Circle

Swamp safe – Path of Tigers mystery

Locating the code requires a bit of a journey. The safe is quite accessible though, it’s located inside the flooded hut that’s situated right behind the shop where you purchase your rebreather. To uncover the code, start by grabbing the photograph and using it to guide you to the southern part of Sukhothai as indicated on the map. Once there, keep an eye out for any tiger sightings; follow their tracks until you stumble upon a chalk drawing of a pawprint etched onto the ground. This should lead you to the code.

The pawprint contains the safe code, which is 2480.

Voss’ Gold Stash safe

Once informed about the expensive rebreather, you’re guided to a lockbox situated within the Nazi compound, located at the map’s northernmost point. Navigating through this complex can be challenging due to its intricate layout. You’ll need to enter the largest building and ascend to the upper level. Dispatch the captain in his office there, then search his body for the required code.

Pulling the note off his body you’ll discover the code is 5484.

Nazi barracks safe – A Game of Wits mystery

Head to the building adjacent to Voss’ secure location, which is on the western side of the restricted zone. Inside this structure, you’ll find a staircase; ascend it until you reach the barracks. In this area, there will be a safe situated next to a board that resembles a checkers game but features an unusual design. Two notes nearby will provide instructions for playing the game and the steps required to emerge victorious.

To defeat all the red pieces, you should execute only four distinct moves using the blue pieces. Arrange these pieces in a specific sequence, and then provide the row numbers of the blue pieces you used for each move. This sequence gives us the code: 3186. Don’t forget to consult the back of your note for additional rules before proceeding.

Nazi garage safe – A Timely Arrival mystery

As a gamer, I’m finding myself in a puzzle reminiscent of the A Day to Remember’s Great Circle enigma from Vatican. It requires me to decipher a secret safe code using a coded sheet and a keyword that matches a specific day. Today is Saturday, and my keyword is “Giada”. With this clue, I’ll be able to crack the code, which seems to be 59404.

Nazi digsite safe – Counting Letters mystery

At an excavation site near a North Island ruin, there’s a wooden construction that shares the Kummtez Cipher from the Himalayas. The unique aspect here is that the letters J and S are paired together on one wheel. To decode the message, arrange the two Hs correctly and place the J-circle in its appropriate positions to get the correct letters. Once done, shift the initial wheel to the final position within the cipher and align it with the S.

Do it correctly and you’ll get the word “Bier” which corresponds to the code 4134.

Sukhothai chest locations

Similar to other significant regions, Sukhothai also features numerous hidden treasure chests scattered throughout its expanse, predominantly in off-limit zones and zones under the control of a particular faction. Here is a list of the chests we have discovered thus far:

This way, the text maintains the original meaning while using more natural language and making it easier to read.

  • Between the bunk beds in the same room as the A Game of Wits safe.
  • In the corner of the same room where Voss’ safe is found

Sukhothai lockbox locations

To wrap things up, I’ve got these tiny loot boxes that can only be opened with a good ol’ bash from my trusty weapon. Here’s a rundown of all the ones I’ve managed to crack open so far:

  • In the same building where the Counting Letters safe is located, on a nearby table.
  • In the war room downstairs from Voss’ office, on a table near the exit.
  • On the table in the office next to the war room.
