In a surprising turn of events, there’s no longer an opportunity for stealing valuable treasures while they’re under the watchful eyes of nobles. The guards seem indifferent towards you, allowing you to move freely without any fear of repercussions. Outlawing theft not only enriches the world with a sense of realism, but it also makes the experience more engaging and convincing.

Instead, it often seems like you’re merely grinding and aimlessly searching for upgrade materials, rather than being rewarded for your exploration and progression.

Introducing dynamic non-player characters (NPCs) who can perform actions or casually move about significantly enhances the sense of liveliness in the towns within the Living Lands, making them appear more bustling and vibrant.

The character creator in Avowed is excellent, and allowing players to customize their characters by adjusting their appearance, adding scars, or increasing godlike features from subtle to more prominent would greatly increase enjoyment for those who are deeply invested in roleplaying.

Expanding the game world of Avowed with additional side quests, puzzles, dungeons, and ruins significantly enhances the sense of immersion and extends the playtime. Compared to the main story’s limited areas, this expanded map truly amplifies what can be discovered, making the overall experience feel far more substantial.

As a dedicated fan, I must admit that there are instances when it seems my words as an Envoy don’t seem to affect NPC dialogues as much as I’d hope. By enhancing the dialogue with a stronger, more reactive personality, a richer lore filled with intrigue, and a genuine flair that makes each conversation worth listening to, Avowed could be significantly improved and become an even more immersive experience for me and fellow fans alike.

To enhance this dynamic, consider implementing a Reputation System that allows certain factions to either admire or despise you based on your decisions. Obsidian Entertainment has demonstrated proficiency in creating engaging factions and reputation systems, as evidenced by their previous works.

Accelerating the process of acquiring companions would offer players an opportunity to explore their unique abilities, observe how they complement each other, and deepen their connections with these characters. It also allows for more extensive character development, particularly in terms of the stories associated with them, enriching the overall gaming experience.

Similarly, your ability to collect items is limited to those the game deems suitable for you to gather.
In a more conversational style: This ‘interaction setup’ gives the world an awkward, unrealistic vibe. By adding interactivity, allowing players to rummage through every box and basket, making it possible to fight NPCs, filling shelves with books that players can read (even if some are repetitive), and other enhancements, it creates a more immersive experience and makes the world feel more alive.
