‘I’m Afraid of…’: 50 Cent Shares Why He Turned Down USD 3 Million Offer To Perform At Donald Trump’s Rally

As a dedicated follower of the dynamic world of hip-hop, I find it fascinating to observe the intricate dance between music and politics that artists like 50 Cent navigate so skillfully. Born from the streets of New York, Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, has weathered numerous storms and emerged stronger each time. His decision to turn down a $3 million offer from Donald Trump’s campaign is yet another testament to his resilience and integrity.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, reportedly declined a $3 million offer from Donald Trump’s campaign to perform at a rally on October 27, due to his non-political stance. In an interview with The Breakfast Club, DJ Envy inquired if Trump had extended a financial proposition for an endorsement. The rapper, who is currently 49 years old, acknowledged receiving a call, implying it was about a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City on that specific date.

50 Cent was questioned if he was invited to perform “Many Men” at the Republican National Convention (RNC) following a failed assassination attempt on Trump. The musician replied, “I was offered $3 million for Madison Square Garden.” Co-host Charlamagne Tha God clarified that this amount referred to a specific event, and 50 Cent confirmed this, adding that he had also been offered money for the RNC performance, but chose not to accept either offer. He did not reveal the sum he refused for the RNC engagement.

50 Cent confessed, “I barely ventured there… I never discussed such topics with them. Politics makes me uneasy.

He explained that his aversion to politics stems from the strong and often aggressive reactions people have toward individual political opinions. “That’s the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye [West] to Japan. He said something about both of those things and now he can only go to Japan,” the Just a Lil Bit rapper added.

It appeared he was discussing the political views that have caused controversy for the artist behind the hit “Donda,” which have resulted in him being prohibited from performing at major U.S. venues. This has led him to schedule shows instead in countries like China and Japan, where he is still well-respected as an artist. Kanye West’s last performance in the United States was on December 10, 2023, during DJ Khaled’s set at LIV Miami. The 47-year-old also organized listening parties for his collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign, titled “Vultures.

50 Cent has revealed that he’ll be starting the New Year with a bang by launching his first Las Vegas residency, which kicks off on December 27th. Over six days, Sin City will host shows on the 27th, 28th, 30th, and 31st of December, as well as on the 3rd and 4th of January.

50 Cent, known for his energetic performances, expressed his excitement about the upcoming shows in Las Vegas, stating that it’s the ideal place to craft an extraordinary event for his fans.
