‘I Will Do Better’: Deadpool And Wolverine Star Ryan Reynolds Reacts To Jamie Lee Curtis’ Apology To MCU

As a lifelong fan of both Jamie Lee Curtis and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I find myself caught between two worlds. On one hand, I admire Ms. Curtis for her unapologetic candor, her ability to speak her mind, and her iconic roles that have shaped my cinematic experience. On the other hand, I am deeply invested in the Marvel universe, having grown up with its characters, their stories, and the thrill they bring.

Jamie Lee Curtis is generating buzz for her recent remarks concerning the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a chat with MTV during San Diego Comic-Con last month, she and her fellow Borderlands movie cast members were inquired about the ongoing phase of Marvel. Swiftly, Curtis expressed her opinion by saying, “Not great.”

Yet, her comments ignited debate, leading the Academy Award-winning actress to offer an apology for her critique of Marvel. Meanwhile, the Deadpool and Wolverine star, Ryan Reynolds, jokingly mocked her by commenting on her apologetic post.

In a tweet posted on August 1st, the actress from the Freaky Friday movie admitted that her remarks about Marvel were foolish and promised to improve in the future.

She added that she contacted Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, mentioning that she would no longer participate in the cutthroat online environment or take part in promotions aimed at increasing views rather than providing meaningful dialogue.

Although the actress faced criticism for her comments, Reynolds responded to her apology with a remark on her post that read, “Hold on, does everyone need to apologize for criticizing Marvel after Endgame?”

Jamie Lee Curtis posted an Instagram clip where her co-star Kevin Hart commended her as a guiding force on the set of their forthcoming sci-fi action comedy. In the description of her post, however, Curtis noted, “If I’m seen as a leader, then a true leader should not criticize other creative minds in the collaborative realm of filmmaking,” indicating that she no longer supports her previous comments concerning Marvel productions.

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel unveiled numerous unexpected details about their forthcoming productions. They left fans utterly stunned when they disclosed that Robert Downey Jr. will portray Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers films, specifically Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. These revelations have given a hopeful outlook for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Currently, Shawn Levy’s latest superhero movie titled “Deadpool & Wolverine,” starring Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, is playing in cinemas near you.
