‘I Think You Can Go To Erewhon..’: John Owen Lowe Breaks Silence On His Dating Rumors With Lucy Hale

Earlier this month, it was spotted that Lowe and Hale had dinner together in Los Angeles. It was observed that during Lowe’s celebration of six years of sobriety, Hale expressed support for him.

Hale responded to his post, expressing his admiration: “This is incredible! You are an incredible person. Shining brightly (red heart emoji).”

Hale publicly discusses her personal struggles with addiction recovery. Last February marked a year since she achieved sobriety, which she announced on social media. In her post, she expressed, “On January 2nd, 2023, I celebrated my one-year milestone of being sober. Although this journey has been largely private, tonight I want anyone who is battling addiction to know that you’re not alone and you are cherished.”

In November 2023, Hale shared her personal story about alcohol consumption on the Call Her Daddy podcast. She reminisced about her first encounter with alcohol at around 12 or 13 years old, which resulted in a period of unconsciousness. Later, she admitted to using alcohol as a means of escaping her difficulties, and expressed feelings of shame afterwards.

In my journey as a lifestyle expert, I found myself unaware of the challenges I was facing until I reached my twenties. At the tender age of 23, I made the difficult decision to seek help at a rehabilitation center, yet I wasn’t fully committed to giving up alcohol until I turned 32.

In a conversation with Rachel Bilson on her Broad Ideas podcast in January 2023, Hale shared that the ages of her past romantic partners ranged from 27 to 52 years old.

At 33 years old, she feels it’s likely she’ll find a partner who is around her age or even older. Moreover, she mentioned that while she once appreciated the thrill of dating, she now values deeper, significant discussions more.
