In an interview with People magazine before the launch of Life After Lockup season 2, Ken Urke and his partner, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, were open about their thoughts.
On December 28, 2024, the proud new dad shared with a media outlet his delightful experiences of fatherhood, as he welcomed his daughter Aurora. He expressed, “I adore her immensely, and each day I witness her blossoming in such tiny yet significant ways.
Additionally, Urker mentioned that his daughter’s eyes have been growing brighter with each passing week, and Aurora is starting to display a tiny social smile. It’s truly captivating to watch her grow larger.
Urker shared that he measured his daughter using a borrowed baby scale from their neighbor, and observed the reading increase. Similarly, he noticed an upward trend in the amount of food he himself consumes.
He mentioned that while it might seem “fundamental,” it was incredibly “enjoyable” for them to observe their daughter’s growth week by week, including the progression of her hair length and the anticipation of discovering her eye color.
According to Urker, he is deeply savoring every moment and making the most of each one. Additionally, he expressed his desire to treat her well and bring joy into her life.
In the course of the interview, Blanchard expressed, “This moment is particularly touching to the heart as it’s a novel experience for both of us, since Ken was quite young when we first crossed paths.
She further stated that the sight of Urker developing and maturing during this phase filled her with warmth, as she found it endearing. Additionally, Blanched commented on how her partner demonstrates a remarkable degree of patience, which she often underestimates.
The star of the reality show expressed delight at observing how Urker evolved personally over the past year, and moreover, assumed a new, mature position.
