With the successful conclusion of its seventh season, this remarkable young actor is diving headfirst into fresh experiences, embodying the spirit of adventure that LA is known for.
The young performer has discovered a fresh pastime he’s finding incredibly enjoyable. In an interview with PEOPLE, Armitage expressed his enthusiasm about life after Young Sheldon. He shared that he’s recently earned a student pilot’s license and aspires to acquire his private pilot’s license once he turns 17.
He admitted that he was initially nervous about taking his grandmother along, due to her fear of flying, but was pleasantly surprised to see how calm she was. He noted that she even faced her fear by climbing onto the plane’s wing.
Additionally, Armitage marked his 16th birthday on July 15, mentioning that the festivities were enjoyable yet somewhat restrained because he was traveling with his grandmother as a fellow traveler.
We enjoyed a somewhat muted, yet still festive atmosphere in the sky. As soon as I landed, it turned into an exhilarating airport celebration in Van Nuys, and let me tell you, it was a blast!” he shared.

In February 2024, Armitage talked to PEOPLE during Young Sheldon’s final season, reminiscing about the show and the part he initially tried out for when he was only 8 years old.
