‘I Hope You’re Doing…’: Jennifer Aniston Pays Sweet Tribute to Friends Co-Star Matt LeBlanc On His 57th Birthday

As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the entertainment industry and the behind-the-scenes stories of our favorite stars, I can’t help but be charmed by the heartwarming bond between Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc. Their friendship, which began on the iconic set of Friends, continues to thrive off-screen as they celebrate each other’s milestones in life.

Jennifer Anniston beautifully wished her “Friends” co-star and dear friend Matt LeBlanc a happy 57th birthday this week. The longtime NBC sitcom stars, who included Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and the late Matthew Perry, share a deep bond over a common hobby.

Aniston marked her friend’s birthday on social media by sharing an old interview of LeBlanc, in which he spoke about his beloved pastime.

Jennifer Anniston pens special birthday note for Matt LeBlanc

Jennifer Aniston, 55-year-old actress and friend, shared the perfect tribute for Matt LeBlanc’s 57th birthday. She searched her Instagram and posted a clip from an interview where LeBlanc spoke about enjoying doing nothing. In her caption, Aniston wished him a happy birthday, celebrating his love for relaxation.

On Thursday, July 25th, the beloved Friends star, recognized for her role as Rachel Green, penned down a birthday wish for @mleblanc with these simple yet heartfelt words: “Wishing you a blissfully unhurried Birthday today. Sending you my warmest wishes and affection. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” #LOVEYOU #WhiteHeartEmoji

In the interview excerpt, Matt LeBlanc adopted his Joey Tribbiani character and shared that his most beloved activity is simply doing nothing. He went on to boast about his proficiency in this pastime, as there are no set guidelines to follow.

“When someone asks me, ‘What’s on your agenda for today?’, I can honestly reply, ‘I don’t have anything specific planned.’ It’s a straightforward answer.” (As a lifestyle expert, I often encourage people to prioritize self-care and relaxation days.)

Anniston was taken aback when her acting partner revealed she had shared an amusing clip on Instagram as far back as early March. In response, Anniston commented under the post, showing solidarity with a caption that read, “Me too @mleblanc.”

As an obsessed fan, I can’t help but gush about the heartwarming messages exchanged between my beloved co-stars-turned-friends. Their bond shines through in every word, giving us, the fans, a glimpse into the deep connection that existed among the entire Friends cast. For six glorious years, from 1994 to 2004, we watched as they brought our favorite characters to life on the small screen. And now, in the highly anticipated 2021 documentary, Friends: The Reunion, they’ve come together once more to remind us all of the unbreakable friendship they formed during those magical years.

Lisa Kudrow vents about live audience during Friends

During an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s podcast, Lisa Kudrow from “Friends” expressed her honest feelings about the live audience’s behavior while filming. She shared that audience members would frequently laugh excessively after she told a joke, which left her feeling annoyed.

Additionally, she explained to O’Brien that she found their jokes lacking authenticity and preferred silence over forced laughter. At times, when they had laughed excessively, she would interject with a stern “Come on,” expressing her annoyance. (Recalled on July 22)

It’s a relief for her that the audience eventually quieted down after one particular scene required numerous retakes and edits. Nevertheless, the lingering echoes of laughter left the writers questioning their dialogue and prompted them to revise the scenes repeatedly.

The actress from Time Bandits added that she believes Friends was primarily intended for home viewing audiences on TV. Consequently, a live audience shouldn’t disrupt the show’s pacing.

All seasons of Friends are available to stream on Netflix.
