Summary
- Monster Hunter fans have found a fun new way to cheese Jin Dahaad in Wilds.
- Turns out that while they prepare their nova blast attack, you can just fast travel away.
- Granted, not everyone is happy about this discovery, and some are even calling on Capcom to patch the cheese out.
Enthusiasts of Monster Hunter Wilds have devised an interesting strategy to handle Jin Dahaad’s notorious nova blast. Rather than employing your slinger to topple large ceiling boulders and take refuge behind them, consider using the quick travel option instead.
As a gamer, I found myself in a pinch when I noticed they were readying an attack. Instead of staying put and risking the blast, I quickly scooted over to my map, marked the base camp, and high-tailed it out of there. Once I was securely tucked away, I braved the battlefield once more, having successfully dodged the explosion. It wasn’t the quickest option, but it guaranteed my survival. Plus, I had a chance to restock at camp before diving back in.
The boss waits such a prolonged time before launching an attack that the hunter decides to rest, have some coffee, and eventually return. (u/ShirouBlue)
Monster Hunter Wilds Fans Want Capcom To Remove Fast Travel Mid-Combat
This trick is a slick maneuver to dodge a frustrating assault, but players are urging Capcom to fix it. They want this tactic removed so that people can’t escape battles when things get tough by using this strategy.
I hate you for even trying this — u/Codename_Dutch.
As a gamer, I find myself scratching my head over this one. You see, I hadn’t realized it was possible to fast travel during a fight, and let me tell you, that seems rather foolish. And I wonder, why on earth are we even permitted to fast travel in the middle of a battle? It feels like an oversight or a design choice that doesn’t quite make sense.
The question remains whether Capcom will address the issue or not; time will tell. However, not everyone seems upset about it. For instance, u/nio151 questions why people are frustrated when Farcasters can be made affordably and work more efficiently with the radial menu. On the contrary, some players argue that this tactic renders Farcasters useless because they summon a small wingdrake to transport you back to camp.
Hey, it wouldn’t be cheese if series veterans didn’t get annoyed, eh?
