‘I Have 34.8 Months To Live’: Saturday Night Live’s Former Cast Member Victoria Jackson Updates About Her Cancer On Social Media

As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for resilience and the human spirit, I find Victoria Jackson‘s story both heart-wrenching and incredibly inspiring. Her journey, marked by her indomitable spirit and unwavering humor, is a testament to the strength of the human will.

65-year-old actress and humorist, Victoria Jackson, disclosed a distressing truth about her cancer coming back, as it’s now inoperable. Previously, she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

On August 14 (Wednesday), an alum of SNL shared via Instagram that her cancer had come back. In a video, she disclosed that doctors are unable to perform surgery to remove the tumor located in her chest, near her windpipe. If left untreated, it would eventually cause her death by suffocation.

She mentioned that she was receiving a delivery of a “magic pill” which was provided by her health care providers. The medicine has Rinociclib, which serves as a cancer growth blocker and it will “shrink the marble, hopefully.”

In the video, Jackson mentioned that she discovered the life span of those who take this supposed miracle drug reaches approximately 32.6 months, though she clarified it was around that figure.

The 65-year-old expressed that she’s had an “amazing life journey.” She noted there were still a couple of significant moments she hoped to experience. Specifically, the actress is eagerly awaiting the birth of her grandson in October and hopes to witness her daughter, Aubrey, becoming a mother as well.

“She titles this video as ‘Cancer Update’: My life expectancy is approximately 34.8 months, unless an unexpected event like a meteor strike, encounter with an angry MAGA supporter, another bout of COVID-19, or the outbreak of World War III occurs.”

In early August of this year, Jackson, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, shared a video on social media announcing that her cancer had returned following a nine-year remission.

The actress has had an impressive career trajectory. She appeared on SNL from 1986 to 1992 and was famous for her Weekend Updates. She was also known for doing impressions of celebrities like Roseanne Bar, Zsa Zsa Gabor, and Sally Struthers. Apart from that, she has been a part of projects like Marriage Retreat, UHF, I Love You To Death, Big Foot, UFOs and Jesus, Family Business, The Pick Up Artist, Baby Bloom, Based On An Untrue Story, Brother White and many more.
