‘I Am Notorious For Ruining Takes’: Dwayne Johnson Reveals Co-Star Chris Evans Cracked Him Up on the Set of Red One

As a movie enthusiast who has followed both Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson‘s careers since their early days, it’s fascinating to witness their camaraderie unfold on screen. The chemistry between these two titans is not just electrifying but also hilarious, as evidenced by Johnson’s repeated inability to keep a straight face during filming. It’s no secret that Evans has a knack for making people laugh, and it seems he’s found the perfect partner in Johnson.

Despite Chris Evans being among the most prominent figures in the entertainment industry today, Dwayne Johnson considers him as one of the funniest individuals he has collaborated with. In a recent interview, Johnson shared that Evans often left him in stitches during filming, as evidenced by his comedic prowess. Here’s what Johnson had to say about his fellow actor.

In an exclusive conversation with People Magazine, I gleefully shared some behind-the-scenes tales from our upcoming Christmas action movie. I confessed to my habit of cracking up during filming, explaining, “Indeed, there were numerous instances when I couldn’t keep a straight face. You see, I have this reputation for spoiling takes with my laughter.” It’s simply a part of who I am.

The 52-year-old claims he and the Avengers actor had a hunch from the beginning about their great chemistry. He added, “Chris is a very funny guy. He’s also very talented. And I thought earlier that maybe me and Chris might have some good chemistry. So did he.” And as it turns out they did.

In a unique collaboration, these two venerable individuals have joined forces for their inaugural joint endeavor. The film, “The Red One,” presents an action-packed twist on the traditional holiday tale. Brimming with whimsical tales and ancient legends, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Hemsworth team up to create an unexpected duo embarking on a quest to locate the lost Santa Claus, with the ultimate goal of preserving Christmas.

The star-studded cast includes the likes of Charlie’s Angels’ Lucy Lui, Whiplash’s J. K. Simmons, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Kiernan Shipka, and many more talented artists. Directed by Jacob Kasdan, this is the third time he’s paring up with Johnson, previously having worked with him on Jumanji: The Next Level, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The Red One is set to release in theaters on November 15th.
