As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and concern as our beloved Mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi prepares to grace us with another installment of Hunter x Hunter. The wait has been excruciatingly long, but the promise of Chapter 401 on October 7th is like a sweet nectar that sustains my hope and patience.
Artist Yoshihiro Togashi used platform X to share news about his manga. It’s been over a year since Hunter x Hunter took a break due to the artist’s health concerns, but it’s coming back on October 7th in Japan with issue #45. The artist posted updates on X, indicating that he was creating new panels for the series.
“I was sitting on the toilet and hurt my back… Coloring is on its way.” Togashi-san captioned the post along with color illustrations of what appear to be sketches for the series. Previously, the mangaka has been sharing updates regarding his back frequently on X. A lot of fans left wholesome messages on the mangaka’s post.
Fans of the manga “Hunter x Hunter” are accustomed to the frequent breaks the creator takes due to his health issues. The creator, Yoshihiro Togashi, usually draws while reclining flat to minimize damage to his spine. Togashi-san started working on “Hunter x Hunter” back in 1998; prior to that, he gained recognition through another manga called “YuYu Hakusho,” which ran from 1990 to 1994.
For over three decades, the comic book creator has been a significant figure in the industry. As for X, Yoshihiro Togashi is one of the most popular manga artists globally, boasting more than 3 million followers. Currently, Hunter x Hunter enjoys extensive fame with an anime series, original video animations, films, soundtracks, video games, and even musical adaptations that demonstrate its massive popularity.
Chapter 401 will be released on October 7, 2024, in Japan. Viz Media’s Shonen Jump app will release the latest chapter on October 6, 2024, in the United States. The mangaka also recently confirmed that Chapters 402 and 403 have also been completed, with Chapter 401 being finished back in March 2023.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my awe for Yoshihiro Togashi’s unwavering dedication to Hunter x Hunter, despite his health issues. We, the fans, have always implored him to prioritize his well-being above all else. With Melody and Kaiser’s intricate plans yet to unfold in the upcoming chapters, we eagerly await each new development in this captivating series.
