Hugh Jackman shared his sadness on social media after the passing of director David Lynch at 78 years old. He expressed his deep admiration for Lynch, calling his work significant and stating that his departure leaves a tremendous void.
He vowed to carry on with his efforts, specifically supporting the global promotion of meditation initiatives, as part of the David Lynch Foundation, in honor of the late director and his advocacy.
Hugh Jackman posted on social platforms, “What a remarkable individual – artist, director, charity worker, and soul. His contributions to The David Lynch Foundation have profoundly impacted me. I pledge to do my utmost to honor his legacy.
“My deepest condolences and love to his family and friends,” the Deadpool & Wolverine actor added.
Known for masterpieces such as Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive, Lynch was a passionate advocate of transcendental meditation. In 2005, he established his foundation with the purpose of sharing this practice with students and trauma victims. He repeatedly attributed the spark and vitality in his life and artistic endeavors to his meditation sessions.
For quite some time, Hugh Jackman has been a dedicated advocate for the foundation, frequently expressing how meditation has significantly improved his life. He began this practice over three decades ago, primarily to boost his acting abilities. Yet, he soon discovered that meditation offered more than just skill enhancement; it became a transformative force in his creativity, personal relationships, and overall health.
According to reports from his family, the artist and man known as David Lynch has sadly passed away. They have requested privacy during this difficult time. The world feels emptier now that he is gone, but they remind us all of his famous words: “Focus on the donut, not the hole.” This was stated by his family in a message to the public.
