I’m so excited about what Marvel has planned for 2026, especially with movies like Avengers: Doomsday on the horizon! Everyone’s buzzing about whether Wolverine will finally make a comeback, and I’m definitely one of those hoping he does. It’s fun to guess which heroes will join the fight, and who will be going up against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, but Marvel is staying pretty tight-lipped about everything, which just makes the anticipation even more intense!
Hugh Jackman recently discussed the idea of an AI version of himself while promoting his new movie, Song Sung Blue, alongside Kate Hudson. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, he playfully suggested it could happen, saying he wouldn’t rule it out, especially since he’s now starred in ten films – providing plenty of material for an AI recreation.
Even in May, during an interview on The View, Jackman avoided giving a clear answer. He jokingly said, “I really don’t have anything to add, and even if I did, I’d find a way to avoid saying it.” In July, Evangeline Lilly, known for playing Wasp in the Ant-Man and Avengers movies, hinted that she might appear with Jackman’s Wolverine in a future project, further increasing speculation.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. He’s played the iconic character for over two decades, starting with the original X-Men movie in 2000. Throughout that time, he’s appeared as Wolverine in ten films, including classics like X2: X-Men United, The Wolverine, and Logan, with his latest role being in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine.
It’s still unclear if Wolverine will be in another movie. Fans hoping to see Hugh Jackman return as the character will probably have to wait until the release of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026, to get their answer.
