It is said that Hugh Jackman feels deeply disheartened following his wife Deborra-Lee Furness‘s critical comments about their separation, which occurred in 2023, after 27 years of matrimony. Despite announcing their parting ways publicly in September, they had reportedly committed to maintaining a cordial demeanor in public appearances.

In a recent conversation with The Daily Mail, Furness described their separation as a “painful journey of deception” and labeled it as “a severe wound that reaches very deep.” These comments are said to have taken Jackman by surprise, as he thought they had an agreement not to make negative remarks about each other in public.

According to a source, Hugh felt deeply disheartened upon learning about his ex’s statements. Although there was no explicit rule forbidding her from discussing the matter, there was an implicit agreement that she wouldn’t publicly criticize him.
