High Severity Release 3.7 brought the anticipated, yet sad, conclusion to the Amphoreus storyline. Irontomb has been defeated and the universe is safe from destruction—for now. However, this victory came at a heavy price: the Emperor’s Scepter was destroyed, and along with it, the Amphoreus we knew has ceased to exist.
Many players felt disappointed with how things ended. After Phainon endured over 33 million cycles of suffering and death, was this really the final result – for everything to be lost?
Absolutely not. That would go against the whole point of the story – that people can change their fate. Plus, it would be really disappointing to not see these characters continue their journey.
Actually, despite appearances, the Chrysos Heirs and Amphoreus are still alive.
The Chrysos Heirs and Amphoreus after HSR 3.7

We preserved all our experiences from Amphoreus in the book, As I’ve Written, which also held the complete history of Cyrene, spanning over 33 million years.
Because of The Remembrance, these memories feel incredibly real – it’s like our friends and their world still exist within them. Still skeptical? There’s proof!
Once you finish the main story, a new sidequest called “As I’ve Written” becomes available. You can begin it in the “Beyond Time: An Eternal Page” area. There, you’ll find the Chrysos Heirs waiting, along with other residents of Amphoreus, including Gnaeus and Dromasilla – or whatever name you gave your Dromas.
This adventure shows Amphoreus is becoming a real world, populated by people formed from the memories within “As I’ve Written.” The Trailblazer travels between worlds to share the book, helping Amphoreus rebuild and become more substantial.
Additionally, Herta and Screwllum were able to retrieve much of Amphoreus’ data from the Scepter, which helped establish the new world.

So, Herta told me that Amphoreus and the Chrysos Heirs will eventually show up – she wasn’t sure if it’d be next year or ten thousand years from now, but they’re definitely coming. It’s good to know that all the sacrifices we’ve made along the way weren’t for nothing, and that our friends actually have a future. It makes everything feel worthwhile.
Okay, so Cyrene’s situation is seriously unique. She’s basically trapped herself and the original Amphoreus in a time loop – a never-ending cycle – to make absolutely sure Irontomb never comes back. Herta mentioned during the quest that she might still show up as a little Memosprite wandering around, but it’s clear her destiny is totally different. She’s one of the potential Aeons of The Remembrance, meaning she could become Fuli at the very end of time! We already know March 7th is another candidate for that role, which is wild to think about.

Still not convinced? If you have a Chrysos Heir in your game, check your inbox! You’ll receive a message directly from one of them. That’s new – they can now send in-game messages. For instance, Castorice recently shared that she adopted two baby chimeras and asked players for help naming them.

Things turned out okay, thankfully! Everyone’s doing better after a rough patch, and even though it wasn’t a perfectly happy ending, I’m left feeling hopeful. It’s not a goodbye anymore, it feels more like ‘see you later’ – a real promise of more to come. It’s a good feeling.
