In the gaming world, I’m thrilled to share that HoYoverse has unveiled the first batch of new characters for Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2: Seed from Obol Squad is about to make her debut among the roster of playable Agents! As many of us had speculated, this Attack Agent dishing out Electric DMG isn’t just a regular combat mech – it’s piloted by a young woman with striking blue hair and exceptional skills as both a pilot and mechanic.
It’s uncertain if Seed operates the mech known as Seed Sr from within or externally, similar to Firefly in Honkai: Star Rail or by using technology like Phaethon with Eous outside the Hollows. According to Seed, “Proxies are akin to… our ‘spiritual allies.’ Much like four-leaf clovers and canola flowers,” she suggests a certain bond or connection exists.
Seed demonstrates a knack for fine-tuning and modifying things intuitively, which seems to put her on par with Grace regarding mechanical prowess and innovation.

According to Trigger’s explanation, Seed tends to keep to himself and avoid social interactions. Interestingly, a woman, whose identity is unknown, is seen clutching an old medical record. She questions, “Is she truly worthy of risking your life for, Seed Sr.?,” she says, seemingly implying that Seed Sr. was a real person or perhaps a sentient machine. One wonders if any traces of Seed Sr. remain within the mechanical form.
The seed is due to make its appearance in the game alongside version 2.2 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS devices, and Android platforms towards the end of this year.
