HoYoverse reveals Lauma, another Nod-Krai character for Genshin Impact

In the most recent live broadcast by HoYoverse, they unveiled the content and banners for Genshin Impact‘s 5.8 update, along with a tantalizing sneak peek at Nod-Krai, the location we’ll explore in Version 6.0.

The title “Through the Still, Frost-Covered Night” offers a glimpse into the lives of the Frostmoon Scions, a group who have dwelled within the lands of Nod-Krai for such a lengthy period that they can recall a time when Teyvat was graced with multiple moons. Previously hinted at in an earlier teaser about Nod-Krai narrated by Alice.

In a dilapidated temple, we encounter a woman adorned in priestly attire, who bears ears reminiscent of elves. This lady appears to communicate with animals, employing a deer as a messenger during her prayers. Upon receiving troubling news from the deer, she hastens out of her sanctuary and seeks individuals clad in similar ecclesiastical robes.

It’s intriguing to note that she has the ability to change into a creature resembling a centaur, enabling swift land travel – a distinctive travel feature possibly featured in Nod-Krai? The teaser doesn’t reveal much, only showing various animals and landscapes. However, the description mentions Lauma, an elf-eared priest, whose voice actress, Alexandra Guelff, is well recognized by fans of Wuthering Waves as she voices Cantarella in Kuro Games’ open-world RPG.
