HoYoverse announced that Jahoda will be a playable character in the upcoming Genshin Impact version 6.2. She’ll be an Anemo user who fights with a Bow.
I’ve gotten to know Jahoda pretty well since the Traveler showed up in Nod-Krai. He works for the Curatorium of Secrets, and while he’s generally loyal, let’s just say you can’t always count on him to follow through!
Jahoda’s official introduction:
The people of Nasha Town have become very well-acquainted with Miss Jahoda, the sole official worker at the Curatorium of Secrets, despite the daily chaos and problems around them.
She has a striking presence, often leaving the Curatorium with an air of confidence, perhaps heading out to treat herself to an elaborate sugar sculpture. But she’s also fiercely determined, known to chase after dishonest clients across rooftops. Then, in a complete contrast, you might find her quietly resting on the steps of the Curatorium, lost in thought while Ashru gently plays with her hair.
People often ask Lady Nefer why she trusts a seemingly ordinary, and sometimes clumsy, girl in a town brimming with talented and clever individuals. Nefer always responds simply, “Just trust my decision.” Even her loyal assistant, Jahoda, occasionally worries and asks nervously, “Please don’t fire me!” Nefer always reassures her, “Why would I? Who else would take care of Ashru and make sure he has food and water?” Jahoda is often left questioning if that’s really the reason, only to be interrupted by Nefer scolding a mischievous cat named Ashru, who is playfully disrupting her work.
Nefer rests her chin on her hand, amused by the familiar sight of the girl and her cat playfully wrestling. She realizes Jahoda is growing up, and one day will be strong enough to handle any challenges life throws her way and confidently guide her own future. But when that day comes, the girl who started with nothing will have to decide what she truly wants from life. Nefer finds the question of Jahoda’s path fascinating to watch unfold, while for Jahoda, discovering the answer is what truly matters.

I’m so excited! It looks like Genshin Impact’s next big update, Luna III, is coming in early December 2025, and they’ve already confirmed Durin as a new playable character! This is hot on the heels of Luna II, which just dropped with Nefer and the Miliastra Wonderland area. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
