How Was Justin Timberlake’s First Impression of Matthew Lawrence During *NSYNC Set Visit? Boy Meets World Star Reveals

As an ardent fan of Boy Meets World, I find myself utterly fascinated by the behind-the-scenes dynamics that unfolded during the show’s iconic run. The anecdotes shared by the cast members on Pod Meets World have only served to deepen my admiration for these talented individuals and their camaraderie.

During the peak of the ’90s sitcom Boy Meets World, it appears that the male actors on the show seemed uneasy around the boy band *NSYNC when they dropped by the set. More recently, Matthew Lawrence reminisced about some experiences with hosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong on an episode of the podcast Pod Meets World.

During this period, *NSYNC often dropped by the filming location of the show as well.

Years after our encounter, I learned from Justin Timberlake himself that he had thought I wasn’t particularly kind,” is a paraphrased version with a similar meaning and natural flow.

Back in 2002, as Justin Timberlake was embarking on his solo music journey with the release of “Justified,” I found myself in an interesting predicament. I had a candid conversation with him, expressing that our friendship wasn’t quite what it seemed. This open exchange occurred face-to-face between us during that period.

Additionally, the actor admitted he felt quite bashful on the set due to his infatuation with Danielle Fishel at that time. It seemed that members from *NSYNC often flirted with her, as they dropped by the set of the sitcom.

“Just orbiting around Danielle in a constant circle,” Strong added.

In a jovial manner, Fishel hinted that it seemed possible Lawrence might broach that subject later on in their conversation. During the interview, Danielle Fishel also shared her thoughts as to why Lawrence appeared uncomfortable previously.

Additionally, Strong reminisced about the presence of *NSYNC on the set, causing a wave of jealousy among the male actors merely due to their proximity.

Additionally, Strong noted that Danielle would disregard all her fellow cast members when the boy band arrived on set, and furthermore, she would adapt herself around *NSYNC entirely.

Yet, Friedle playfully remarked that among the five bandmates who brought us hits like I Want You Back and Pop, Danielle seemed to have made an unwise decision.

If you’re not already aware, I myself had the pleasure of dating Lance Bass for approximately a year in the past. Fast forward to 2006, Lance courageously chose to publicly identify himself as gay, a decision I wholeheartedly respect and admire.

As for me, I playfully remarked that I felt at ease since I was certain there was no romantic entanglement brewing between myself and Bass.

In this beloved television series, Boy Meets World, spanning across 7 seasons, Danielle Fishel took on the character of Topanga Lawrence, Rider Strong portrayed Shawn Hunter, Will Friedle embodied Eric Matthews, and Matthew Lawrence brought Jack Hunter to life.
