How to Solve the Torch Puzzle in Where Winds Meet

After defeating the bandits at Tiger Fort, you’ll encounter a torch-based puzzle as the next step in this quest.

To unlock the secret chamber, you’ll need to light the torches in the right order around the fort. The map you have (Clue Two) shows you exactly which ones to light – they’re circled on the drawing.

Here’s how to solve the puzzle: First, light the torch right next to the chest with Clue Two. Then, light the torch along the wall, followed by the two torches on opposite corners of the area. It’s important to make sure all the other torches are turned off!

Where Winds Meet Wall Puzzle solution

Once you’ve lit the torches and gone down into the chamber, you’ll see a statue. The walls around it are covered in glowing Chinese characters.

To solve the puzzle, you need to move certain blocks so that each wall spells out the word from Clue Three – the one you found right before entering this room.

First, press the 漂 symbol in the corner.

Then, push the 百 and 移 symbols on the other wall.

Pressing the symbols turns them off, leaving only the correct ones lit up to spell out words on the walls. If you accidentally turn off the wrong symbol, simply press it again to turn it back on. You need to spell out “山 河 寸 土” on one wall and “誓 死 不 易” on the other. Once you’ve spelled both words correctly, the door will open, allowing you to finish the quest. Don’t worry, there aren’t any more challenging puzzles ahead!

Finishing this quest will give you a lot of treasure, but the real prize is the Touch of Death skill.

This skill lets you silently take down enemies from behind – just sneak up and press the button that appears on screen. You’ll be able to try it out as soon as you reach the surface.
