How to Respec in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

In the expansive game titled “Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon”, players explore a vast open-world teeming with potent weapons, destructive spells, captivating uniques that significantly shape a character’s build. Often, gamers may encounter an item such as a weapon, spell, or armor set that isn’t compatible with their existing character setup. For instance, a mage character wouldn’t be able to wield a legendary greatsword without adjusting their skills into Strength and Endurance.

Fortunately, the game Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon provides players with an option to reallocate their skill and attribute points using just one special potion. Yet, this magical elixir is extremely scarce, and only a modest number can be collected during each playthrough. Here’s the gist of it:

– Players can change their skills and attributes using a single potion in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.
– This potion is hard to come by as it appears infrequently, and only a few can be found during each gameplay session.

How to Respec in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

In the game “Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon,” players can reallocate all their Skills and Attributes with a scarcely found artifact known as the “Origin Elixir.” This is accomplished as follows.

  1. Open your inventory.
  2. Navigate to the Potions Tab.
  3. Find the Origin Potion (it’s a blue bottle).
  4. Press the consume hotkey.

Now, all your stats and characteristics are back to zero. You can rearrange them freely whenever you visit a bonfire.

I tried to keep the meaning consistent while making the sentence more conversational and easier to understand.

Save your game thoroughly before applying an Origin Potion, to correct any errors that might occur during the subsequent level-ups.

Origin Potion Locations in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Unlike many other items you can create yourself, Origin Potions are unique and cannot be made. Instead, you’ll have to search for them at specific spots or purchase them from certain retailers. It’s important to note that the Origin Potions sold by merchants do not get replenished, and those found in containers won’t respawn either. This makes each world’s supply of Origin Potions finite, and once they’re used up, they vanish for good.

In the game Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, here are seven definite spots where players can acquire an Origin Potion.

Island Asylum (Starting Island)

In the Island Asylum, you’ll discover Brother Cassian confined within a cell that can be reached through a small opening close to your own cell. Opposite him lies an additional locked cell, and on a table inside it, there’s the Origin Potion.

In this rephrasing, I’ve aimed to maintain the original structure while using simpler and more conversational language.

After you leave the Island Asylum with Caradoc, you will not be able to return.

Sunken Village

To the west of the submerged village lies a sacred Druid site. A snug path nestled between two mountains lies to its south. Traverse this path and you’ll discover the remains of a Keeper carrying an Origin Elixir.

Horns of the South Dungeon

1. Speak with NPC Goban, Daragh’s father, who resides in the Village near the Horns of the South Fort. Offer him five bottles of alcohol to engage in all available conversations, which eventually triggers the quest “All Along the Watchtower.”

2. Approach Fearghas, the Fort Quartermaster, and obtain a key to the dungeons from him. Use the quest marker as guidance to find the dungeon entrance and enter.

3. Battle your way through undead enemies on each floor until you reach the third level.

4. Keep an eye out for a jail cell housing a Wyrdslime, and search for the Origin Potion in the Reinforced Chest located nearby and locked behind it.

Jann Heber

In the town of Horns of the South, there’s a physician named Jann Heber who offers an Origin Elixir for purchase. You can locate him in his residence, Jann’s Quarters, which is right beside the player storage area. The standard price for the Origin Elixir is 1500 gold pieces.

Blood Lake

To the north of the sandy shore lies a colossal, crimson lake adorned by a grand statue at its center. Immerse yourself in the water, and you’ll discover a sunken door leading to a grim fortress known as Blood Lake. Venture inside this dark lair and vanquish Mallory, a non-player character standing guard at the entrance. Continue your journey through the dungeon until you come face-to-face with Prydwen, the inventor of the enigmatic “Garden.” As you turn southward, you’ll spot a humble trail winding towards a compact cave. Tread carefully along this path and vanquish the fearsome Marrowghast lurking within. Behind it, you’ll find a chest sealed shut, containing an Origin Potion, the Hexbounce Wand, and a valuable recipe book.

Eckheart’s Cave

Up north from the Old Stone Circle, you’ll find the edge of the map marked with the Shrine of the Bear. To its side lies Eckheart’s Cave. Venture into this cave and conquer the group of outlaws that have taken over. A chest containing the Origin Potion is hidden next to their fallen leader.

The Mourning Harpist

To the north of Cuanach’s grand entrance, you’ll find The Harpist’s Tomb, partitioned into two sections: one for night-time visits and another for exploring during the day. Hidden within the daylit area is a chest containing the Origin Potion. This is where you embark on the Broken Strings quest as well.

In Act 2, you can access the region of the Mourning Harpist, once you’ve made a choice to align with either Galahad or One-Eye, and collected the second piece of King Arthur’s soul.
