How To Join The Silver Needle Sect In Where Winds Meet

In Where Winds Meet, you’ll develop new abilities, forge helpful relationships, and learn about your past. The game offers many different paths, all of which are rewarding to explore. Choosing a sect is an important step, and the Silver Needle is a great place to begin your adventure.

To become a member of this distinguished group of doctors, you must first show that you understand and will follow their principles and guidelines. We’ll guide you through the steps to join and ensure you can build a thriving medical career by adhering to these standards.

How To Answer The Three Questions For Dr. Yuan

If you go to the Sect menu and move your cursor over Silver Needle, you’ll get a clue about how to find someone who can help you join the group. Becoming a member just requires making a good impression on this person, and locating Dr. Yuan is actually quite straightforward.

To be eligible for the Silver Needle, you first need to gain proficiency in the Healing Profession skill, which you can learn in the western part of Sundara Land.

Forget about going all the way north to that clinic in Qinghe. Seriously, just head south to Sage Knoll instead. There’s a little clinic there, and you’ll find Dr. Yuan – he’s wearing white robes and is behind the desk. Talk to him about wanting to join the Silver Needle Sect, and he’ll tell you that you need to answer three questions first.

Okay, so this isn’t your typical quest where people just tell you things. Instead of answers, you actually get paid by the patients you heal – and the amount you receive is the answer to whatever question you had! It’s a really unique system. Apparently, all Silver Needle disciples live by this rule: “one life, one price.” It sounds intense, but fascinating!

Healing is a deeply meaningful practice, and when offering it, it’s important to request something of genuine value in return for such a precious gift as life itself.

What Payment To Select For The First Patient

The first patient is located south of here. You’ll find a sick merchant and the person helping him in a bamboo grove. The merchant is in obvious distress and seems very upset. Talk to him and offer to help.

Okay, so I figured out the best way to help this guy. First, I used Wind Sense to get a good read on what was wrong with him. Then, the game asked me to pick a reward for treating him, and I went with the ‘Ill-gotten Wealth: Artwork’ – it seemed like the best option. The merchant tried to talk me out of it, offering something else, but I stuck to my guns and confirmed the artwork. After that, I finished healing him and headed down the hill to find the next patient.

What Payment To Select For The Second Patient

Okay, so I kept heading south and ran into this poor guy who’d taken a tumble and really hurt himself. Turns out he’s got a broken bone and needs some healing, but he’s pretty broke himself, so don’t expect a big reward!

Choose the ‘Parting Tears’ jar, even though he’ll strongly object. Make sure he agrees to it as payment for the healing before you begin the treatment.

What Payment To Select For The Third Patient

Lastly, you’ll need to assist a cold and vulnerable orphan as you climb further up the mountain. When you find her, she won’t have anything to pay with. You’ll have the choice to help her without charge, but keep in mind the Silver Needle’s principle: every act of healing requires a payment in return.

Choose the piece of fabric to give as payment, then continue the healing process. After that, go back to Dr. Yuan to submit your work, and he will offer you a place in the Silver Needle Sect.

Silver Needle Sect Overview

When you become a member of the Silver Needle sect, you’ll unlock access to a special shop and unique cosmetic items. As you progress within the sect, you’ll also need to follow certain rules.

  • Shared Healing: Participate in successful multiplayer healing, which grants precept value +10.
  • Healing Bodies and Minds: Earn at least 15 likes each week; otherwise, precept value -10.

As a fan, I’ve learned that if you’re building a character around this sect, you’ve got two main options for your martial arts style. You can go with the Panacea Fan if you want to focus on healing, or the Inkwell Fan if you’d rather deal a lot of damage. It really just depends on how you want to play!

How To Leave The Silver Needle Sect

You’re free to leave the sect whenever you want by finishing a specific trial, but you’ll forfeit any rank or progress you’ve earned. Rejoining is possible, though there might be a waiting period before you can leave or rejoin again, depending on when you do it.
