How to get Gracium in Monster Hunter Wilds

One common early task you might undertake in Monster Hunter Wilds upon reaching High Rank is hunting for Gracium. Players versed in the series will recognize that materials alter when transitioning to this increased difficulty, and this applies to resources obtained from small monsters as well as nodes scattered across the world such as bone piles and mining outcrops.

When I thought I’d figured out the origins of all these elements, I stumbled upon another layer to delve into. (Got it? Since we’re discussing geology.) If you don’t mind revisiting every corner and mining for this specific Gracium to enhance your Ore Tree weapon, here’s where you can find it in Monster Hunter Wilds. The ‘X’ on the map will guide you there.

Monster Hunter Wilds Gracium location

As a fellow adventurer, I discovered that Gracium can only be obtained from mining outcrops within the Iceshard Cliffs upon reaching High Rank. It’s similar to resources like Fucium Ore or Novacrystal, which are elusive during the Low Rank quests. To put my hands on this valuable crafting material, I had to progress beyond the Low Rank and ascend to High Rank. This was achieved by completing the main storyline and taking on the Yian Kut-Kut in the epilogue mission that followed.

For finding mining nodes in Iceshard Cliffs, your top choice is the summit of area 8, which might ring a bell as the Hirabami nest from the main quest. Additionally, there are some solitary nodes scattered in areas 3, 6, and 20 near Rove’s hideout. However, beware of the pesky Comaqchi bug creatures that often lurk on the walls when mining in area 8, ready to surprise attack you.

As a gamer, I’ve found that Gracium isn’t as common as Novacrystal, but it’s definitely rarer than your average ore. It might take a few tries to find some. If you end up empty-handed after checking out all those outcrops, don’t forget that you can reset them by adjusting the time at your tent. However, this comes at a cost of 300 Guild Points. It might be wiser to step away for about 15 minutes and let them refresh instead.
