These hidden treasures can range from enigmatic characters that are not immediately apparent, to intricate questlines that are all too easy to overlook, or even mysterious locations that remain undiscovered until chance aligns perfectly. The rewards for unearthing these secrets are more than worth the hunt!
If you’re prone to thorough investigation in open-world games, chances are you’ll come across places like the Tomb of Sir Gawain that offer interactions, but its hidden mystery can only be uncovered at the conclusion of Act 2.
How To Start His Heart Was Greener Than Mine Quest
Once you’ve finished Act 2 of the game and obtained the Shield of Arthur, you’ll now have the means to unlock a handful of hidden tombs.
After wrapping up Act 2 in the game and securing the Shield of Arthur, you will discover that certain secret tombs can be accessed.
The tomb of Sir Gawain lies to the west of the bustling city of Cuanacht, but its entrance can be elusive since it’s nestled on a rocky outcrop near the riverbank.
Once you get to the door, you’ll notice a panel to your right, marked with a shield symbol. Simply interact with this panel, and the door leading to the tomb will swing open for you.
Upon arriving at the door, you’ll spot a panel on the right side adorned with a shield emblem. Just activate or touch this panel, and the entrance to the tomb will automatically unlock.
Before you go inside, make sure you are well-equipped and high level to engage in this quest.

How To Beat Sir Bertilak
As I delve deeper into this ancient tomb, there’s only one way to go – straight ahead. Following the path, I eventually come across a circular open space where a mysterious figure stands. I approach and interact with them, and they explain that their spirits can’t rest unless I help them out. That means it’s time for a good old-fashioned battle!
The initial battle pits you against Sir Bertilak, who prefers a massive two-handed axe in his fights. He’s relentlessly aggressive, dishing out combos during combat. Moreover, he’s quite skilled at dodging your attacks and retaliating effectively.
As I stand at a distance, I can unleash repeated surges of magical energy to chip away at your health, and should the need arise, there’s a powerful spell at my disposal to push you back a good distance.
The battle primarily involves maintaining a dynamic stance and moving frequently, concentrating more on magical assaults rather than close combat, as Sir Bertilak is exceptionally skilled in hand-to-hand fighting.
A more prudent strategy would be to maintain a safe distance, keep launching spells towards him, and either evade or shield yourself from his approaching assaults.
If you were to attack the man sitting on the chair, who is named Gawain, unintentionally, it could lead to two conflicts. But for your own safety and success, I’d recommend handling Bertilak before dealing with Gawain.
How To Beat Sir Gawain
After successfully overcoming Sir Bertilak, prepare yourself for another battle, this time against the formidable knight, Sir Gawain. He is armed with a massive two-handed sword that inflicts poison build-up, and his attack patterns share similarities with those of Sir Bertilak.
Indeed, he boasts an extraordinary fire-casting ability that unleashes a barrage of flames, making him stronger than Bertilak. So, while employing the same approach, do remember to exercise additional caution!
Keeping distance, dodging attacks, and focusing on magic combat works best for these.
Once you finish the quest, don’t forget to search both corpses to acquire their entire armor set as well as their weapons.
