As an ardent fan, I find Lea Michele’s journey to motherhood nothing short of inspiring. From her candid confessions about her career-centric past to her struggles with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), she has been unapologetically real and open about her experiences. Her strength and resilience in the face of adversity are truly commendable.
Everyone was taken aback when Lea Michele recently shared the news that she had given birth to her second child, a baby girl. In fact, her first child, Ever Leo, came into the world in 2020 – a son born to her and her husband Zandy Reich.
Upon embracing motherhood, Lea openly discussed the experience during an interview with Drew Barrymore on her talk show. She admitted that throughout her life, her focus had primarily been on her career. She further mentioned, “Perhaps to an excessive degree.”
Ever since the day I tied the knot with my beloved, there’s been an indescribable sense of stability in my life – especially when we became parents to our little miracle born on August 20, 2020. This journey has truly grounded me like nothing else ever could!
During that period, People magazine was informed by a source that Ever was a “simple infant.” A week after, the actress from Glee shared about her child on her Instagram. Her post was accompanied with the caption, “Forever thankful for this genuine blessing.”
Nevertheless, the actress faced challenges during her pregnancy due to a diagnosis of Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) at age 30. She discussed this experience in an episode of Katherine Schwarzenegger’s Instagram live series, “Before, During & After Baby.”
Lea shared that having irregular menstrual cycles created numerous difficulties for her when trying to conceive, and motherhood proved particularly tough from the beginning. Throughout her pregnancy, various health complications arose, causing her to wonder if she’d be able to carry the child successfully. Eventually, she was required to rest in bed, and heavy bleeding followed, leading to hospitalization as reported by the source.
Few people may be aware, but she has devoted a studio album to her son, called “Forever,” which is an assortment of lullabies. This album was published in 2021. In it, she reinterpreted songs by Fleetwood Mac, Guns N’ Roses, Christina Perri, Kelsey Musgraves, and numerous others.
In March 2023, Ever had to be admitted to the hospital due to a concerning health problem. His mother shared this news on her Instagram. Subsequently, she informed followers that they were bringing him back home.
Two short weeks after that, she informed her social media followers that he had been readmitted to the hospital. However, in April 2023, she conveyed to the press that Ever was “on an upward trend.” She also mentioned, “We still have a bit of a journey ahead, but he’s doing great so far, thank goodness, and in good health.”
The actress is always reliable when it comes to dishing out personal updates. In an interview with the press, she confided that her son Ever is quite fond of Halloween. She mentioned that it’s a significant tradition in their household, enjoying the outdoor decorations and picking out his costumes.
Now, he assumes the perpetual position of an older sibling since his parents recently welcomed a new family member, baby girl Emery Sol Reich. They made the announcement on Instagram, writing, “Our hearts are overflowing. Emery Sol Reich.”
