As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that I am eagerly awaiting the debut of Agatha All Along. Having witnessed the evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since its inception, it is truly exciting to see one of its most enigmatic characters finally getting her own standalone show.
After numerous title adjustments, it appears that Agatha All Along has discovered its fitting title at last. It’s not hard to imagine each episode having a unique title, but here we are, with this series being one of the most eagerly awaited MCU shows in years. As per Rotten Tomatoes, it is the most anticipated show of this month.
Starting on September 18, 2024, the new series will first appear on Disney+ with a double premiere. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly until November 6. It has been confirmed that Kathryn Hahn will continue her character from WandaVision, this time taking on a leading role in her own show.
In a noteworthy chat with Rolling Stone magazine, Hahn opened up about her professional journey and an upcoming show, sharing intriguing insights that we’re excited to share in this piece.
In this article, we’ll delve into the transformations that occurred throughout the filming process, as actress Kathryn Hahn shares insights on the significant alterations the series underwent during its production.
As a devoted fan, I’m curious about your experience returning to the world of Agatha after a hiatus. Was there any difficulty in ensuring her consistency after such a time gap? Any particular steps you took to revisit and revive her character?
Suppose I said something like, “Imagine me crooning ‘Agatha All Along’ seven times, reversed and in various languages, while my kids were pinned down on the couch – all while consuming eye of newt. [Laughs.] Funny thing is, I didn’t feel compelled to mimic her precisely as she’s already part of the mix.
How much did the essence of this show change along the way?
The two shows felt so dynamic and alive. My movement teacher, Wesley Fata, who was truly exceptional, would often tell us, “Champions adapt.” This phrase became a sort of mantra among us, emphasizing the need for constant adaptability since things were always changing. Yet, I knew that the fundamental aspects – the core themes, the emotional touchstones – remained steadfast. The gap between reading about it initially and experiencing it nearly two years later was barely noticeable.
What kind of discussions did you have with Jac about your wishlist for this character?
In simpler terms, our desires coincided. I hoped that Agatha wouldn’t lose her sharp, biting personality, as I was curious about what lay hidden beneath her strange, tough, unkind exterior. Additionally, I desired some musical elements, maintaining the camp atmosphere, and preserving the aspects of WandaVision that I enjoyed, particularly Agatha’s acting prowess and her love for grand performances.

If the title proves to be challenging for the series, we’re thrilled about it since it adds an element of anticipation for us as we eagerly await the series’ debut!
