39-year-old rapper known as Young Scooter, whose real name is Kenneth Edward Bailey, tragically passed away on his birthday, March 28. A recent report from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that he succumbed to a gunshot wound in his right thigh.
According to the report, Bailey suffered a substantial amount of bleeding due to an injury, not from a gunshot. It was later discovered that he hurt himself by either falling onto wooden fencing or woody debris after leaping over at least one fence. The manner of his death was classified as accidental, according to E! News.
The Atlanta Police Department shared additional information regarding the events preceding Young Scooter’s demise. According to Lieutenant Andrew Smith, police officers were dispatched due to reports of an altercation involving a firearm.
The phone conversation additionally disclosed sounds of gunfire and a female being pulled back into a residence. Upon their arrival, police tapped on the door, but only for a moment it was opened by a male figure who swiftly closed it once more.
As officers ensured safety around the house, two individuals sprinted from its rear. One went back into the house, yet the other leaped over two fences as he escaped. Later, police discovered the wounded man beyond a fence.
In simpler terms, it was verified that when authorities found him beyond the fence, he seemed to have sustained a leg wound. The officers provided assistance, and he was carried to Gray Hospital, where they declared him dead.
Atlanta Police clarified rumors about Young Scooter’s demise being gun-related. They confirmed that no police officers discharged their firearms or employed force in any capacity against Bailey.
In the statement, officials emphasized that although they acknowledge the sadness over Mr. Bailey’s death, it should be noted that no shots were fired and no force was used by Atlanta police officers during the incident involving him.
Lieutenant Smith indicated that it seemed like the individual had suffered either a broken bone or a severe cut, causing substantial bleeding. It’s been verified that the inquiry remains active.
31-year-old Demetria Spence, who is under suspicion for making a hoax 911 call, was apprehended by Atlanta police. According to authorities, Spence made a false report stating there was an assault in progress, gunshots were being fired, and a child was endangered. This call preceded the death of Bailey.
It’s stated that Spence was accused of spreading a fake emergency warning. The jail records for Fulton County indicate that she was still in detention on the 1st of April. The police have yet to verify if she has obtained legal counsel.
