HBO and HBO Max recently released a preview showcasing shows coming in 2026. The reel features both returning favorites like Euphoria, The Pitt, Industry, The Gilded Age, Hacks, and The Comeback, and brand new series such as Lanterns, a new comedy from Larry David, DTF St. Louis, Rooster, and several other upcoming titles.
HBO also gave us a first look at footage from the third season of House of the Dragon, along with a reminder that the Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will arrive next year. The trailer shows a surprisingly gentle scene between Alicent and her son Aemond, Ser Corlys Velaryon fighting in battle, soldiers falling, House Hightower preparing for war, and Queen Rhaenyra strategizing. Both Alicent and Corlys provide voiceover narration throughout the promo.
The new trailer for House of the Dragon season three, though short, strongly suggests a very violent season ahead. Major battles are coming to Westeros, with armies gathering to fight for control of the Iron Throne. Expect plenty of conflict, as fire and bloodshed will soon engulf the land and skies. Despite not being featured in this preview, dragons remain a powerful force in the Seven Kingdoms.
The third season of House of the Dragon is coming in the summer of 2026, and the recent sneak peek offers just a hint of the drama to come.
