If your phone jittered with apprehension earlier today, it could be due to the fact that Hotta Studio recently unveiled significant visual enhancements for their upcoming urban open-world RPG, “Neverness to Everness.” This game is set to launch on mobile devices, as well as PC and PS5 platforms. It’s gearing up to begin a global beta test shortly.
As per Hotta’s statement, the recently captured footage demonstrating visual enhancements was filmed using the Containment Test version, which is the build that players will have access to during testing.
In the bustling city of Hethereau, alterations in lighting create a noticeably improved atmosphere compared to earlier times. Additionally, it appears that various textures have been enhanced too. From afar, landscapes reveal intricate details not seen before, thereby adding character and depth to the city.
The lighting seems to have the most significant impact overall: Viewing the scenes of the car navigating Hethereau at night, the revamped shots create a sense of being immersed in an urban landscape with both supernatural and cyberpunk elements more effectively. Notably, the rain now collects in specific areas on the asphalt, accentuating its flaws rather than merely flowing over everything uniformly, which is quite a notable improvement.
As an avid gamer, I can’t help but feel excited about the upcoming release of NTE. However, considering it will run on multiple platforms and how complex Unreal Engine 5 can be, we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed and see how well Hotta manages to optimize it for each platform. Frankly, given the graphical demands, I suspect mobile devices might struggle a bit with NTE.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the long-awaited NTE game has just been given the go-ahead by Chinese authorities! This means we’re one step closer to finally diving into this exciting new world.
