Shortly after Zack Snyder shared a black-and-white photo of Ben Affleck wearing the armored Batsuit from Batman v Superman, Hot Toys revealed a new collectible figure: the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman (2.0).
The company shared detailed photos of the updated product with bloggers, giving collectors a first look.
Fans noticed the post right away, especially since Snyder had been sharing a lot of DC-related content recently.
Hot Toys Unveils the Updated Armored Batman Figure
Hot Toys said it is bringing back the armored suit with major improvements.
This new collectible figure, scaled at 1/6th, has been completely updated with a new sculpt, more detailed armor, improved paint, and a redesigned body that allows for greater poseability.
The figure features glowing LED eyes and swappable faceplates modeled after Ben Affleck’s expressions in the movie. It also comes with a detailed grapple gun and grenade launcher, redesigned for greater accuracy.
Deluxe Version Brings Battle Damage and Kryptonite Spear
Collectors looking for a battle-worn appearance will appreciate the deluxe edition, which includes a damaged helmet, extra broken armor parts, and a light-up Kryptonite spear.
The diorama base lets you pose the figure recreating the chest-strike from the fight in Batman v Superman. Hot Toys confirms the damaged parts are completely newly sculpted, not just modified versions of the original figure.
The Timing Raises SnyderVerse Questions Again
Hot Toys announcing this so soon after Zack Snyder revealed a new armored suit image is just adding to all the rumors and excitement.

Plus, it looks like the money behind Zack Snyder’s movies is coming up again. On top of all that, everyone’s still fighting over who’s going to take over Warner Bros. Discovery – it’s a total battle right now!
Considering everything else going on, the timing of the new Armored Batman figure’s reveal – happening right after Snyder talked about the suit – seems like part of a larger trend.
The continued release of merchandise by Hot Toys further demonstrates the popularity and success of Zack Snyder’s DC film universe, often called the SnyderVerse.
