The film production company A24 has recently unveiled the trailer for their new horror movie titled “Opus”. In this chilling tale, an award-winning writer, recognized from “The Bear”, played by Ayo Edebiri, finds herself in a spine-tingling situation. She receives an invitation to visit a reclusive pop star’s isolated residence, which is occupied by none other than the talented John Malkovich.
Upon arrival, she finds herself ensnared in a harrowing predicament amidst the ominous followers of the pop star, with ominous occurrences gradually escalating.
A veritable array of skilled performers will grace our screens. Joining Edebiri and Malkovich are Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, and Tony Hale. Additionally, we’ll have Tatanka Means, Young Mazino, Tamera Tomakili, and Stephanie Suganami as part of the cast.
In his first full-length directorial effort, Mark Anthony Green unveils “Opus”. Green, with a history in making short films like “Trapeze, U.S.A” and a background at GQ magazine, steers this suspenseful narrative. The movie will have its initial screening at the Sundance Film Festival.
In the production of this movie, we have Josh Bachove, Collin Creighton, and Brad Weston working together through Makeready. Meanwhile, Jelani Johnson and Poppy Hanks are in charge of its production under MACRO Film Studios. The executive producers are Charles D. King, Sara Newkirk Simon, The-Dream, and Nile Rodgers.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Ayo Edebiri, recognized for her work in ‘Bottoms’, has been nominated for a DGA Award for directing an episode of ‘The Bear’, titled ‘Napkins’. Moreover, she will contribute her voice to the upcoming ‘Inside Out 2’. On another note, John Malkovich is all set to make an appearance in the forthcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ movie.
