Soar after the wind and fortify your comrades with an exceptional build for Honkai: Star Rail’s Yukong character. This distinguished pilot, who has ascended the ranks to reach the pinnacle of the Sky-Faring Commission, walks the Path of Harmony and inflicts Imaginary damage, yet her true power lies in amplifying the abilities of her teammates.
Yukong’s special ability, Empowering Arrow Volley, gives her up to two charges of Thundering Strings (she can have no more than two simultaneously). While even one charge is active, her allies receive an ATK boost. Each time an ally finishes their turn, one charge of Thundering Strings depletes.
As a gamer, I unleash my ultimate move, the Diving Kestrel, which dishes out imaginary damage to a sole foe, scaling with Yukong’s attack power. When Roaring Bowstrings is active during this ultimate use, it not only amplifies critical damage and critical rate for all allies, but also empowers them in battle.
On every other turn, her inherent skill boosts the reduction of toughness for her basic attack and amplifies its imaginary damage, proportionate to Yukong’s attack power.
Gaining extra versions of Yukong elevates her Eidolon rank, granting additional perks. At level 1, she boosts the speed of all teammates as soon as she joins a fight. Level 2 allows Yukong to recharge her energy whenever one of her allies reaches their maximum energy capacity. Level 4 amplifies Yukong’s own damage when accompanied by Roaring Bowstrings, while level 6 triggers a stack of Roaring Bowstrings each time Yukong uses her ultimate ability.
Honkai: Star Rail – Yukong: best Light Cones
For Yukong, her supportive powers aren’t tied to her own stats, giving you a lot of flexibility when choosing her gear. Sparkle’s Earthly Escapade and Robin’s Flowing Nightglow are excellent choices as Yukong’s Light Cones, boosting her personal damage while still offering support features.
Best Light Cones for Yukong in HSR:
- Earthly Escapade (5-Star)
- Flowing Nightglow (5-Star)
- Past and Future (4-Star)
- Poised to Bloom (4-Star)
- Dance! Dance! Dance! (4-Star)
Honkai: Star Rail – Yukong: best Relics
As a gamer, I’ve found that while it’s possible to enhance Yukong for increased damage output, it won’t yield significant results in the long run. A wiser approach would be to prioritize her survivability instead. The one exception here is Speed (SPD), since Yukong’s buff affects characters following her, so she should always lead the pack.
However, Yukong can’t make use of top-tier support Relic Sets because her abilities target enemies rather than allies, which limits her potential somewhat.
Best Relic Sets for Yukong in HSR:
- Messenger Traversing Hackerspace (2) + Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal – +6% SPD x2
Best Planar Ornaments for Yukong in HSR:
- Broken Keel (2) – +10% Effect RES, +10% CRIT DMG for all allies if the wearer’s Effect RES surpasses 30%.
- Fleet of the Ageless (2) – +12% Max HP, +8% ATK for all allies if the wearer’s SPD surpasses 120.
Prioritize the following Relic and Planar Ornament stats for Yukong:
- Head – HP (Primary), SPD, Effect RES, HP %, DEF %
- Hands – ATK (Primary), SPD, Effect RES, HP %, DEF %
- Body – HP % (Primary), SPD, Effect RES, DEF %, HP
- Feet – SPD (Primary), Effect RES, HP%, DEF %, HP
- Planar Sphere – HP % (Primary), SPD, Effect RES, DEF %, HP
- Link Rope – Energy Regeneration (Primary), SPD, Effect RES, HP %, DEF %
Honkai: Star Rail – Yukong: best teams
Yukong’s balance between inflicting damage and assisting her team leaves her slightly underperforming in each aspect, but some teams find significant benefit from her abilities.
- Imbibitor Lunae (Main DPS), Sparkle (Support), Yukong (Support), Luocha (Support)
This group primarily focuses on enhancing Imbibitor Lunae’s abilities. Sparkle offers boosts and refills Skill Points, ensuring the Main Damage Dealer has sufficient resources for efficient combat. Yukong can bolster up to two Damage Per Second (DPS) units with her enhancements; however, having just one DPS member on the team doesn’t pose a problem. Ideally, it’s beneficial if most team members inflict Imaginary Damage, as one of Yukong’s traits increases the entire team’s Imaginary Damage output passively. Lastly, we complete this setup with Luocha, who can leverage Yukong’s enhancements and doesn’t demand a great deal of Skill Points to keep the team in good health.
Honkai: Star Rail – Yukong: ascension materials
Here’s a breakdown of how to take Yukong to the highest level, maximize her abilities, and upgrade all her talents:
1. Level up Yukong by gaining experience points (XP) through battles or quests.
2. To increase Yukong’s talent levels, spend Talent Points (TP) that she earns from leveling up.
3. Reach the maximum level for Yukong and fully upgrade all her talents to unleash her full potential in combat.
As an enthusiastic player, I need more than just Experience Points (XP) to reach Level 80 in Yukong. Specifically, I’ll also need some special Ascension Materials.
- Credits x246,000
- Artifex’s Module x12
- Artifex’s Cogwheel x13
- Artifex’s Gyreheart x12
- Golden Crown of the Past Shadow x50
In the game, you can gather Artifex’s Modules, Cogwheels, and Gyrehearts from Entranced Ingenia, as well as other enemies in the Luofo and Simulated Universe. You also have the option to craft or trade these items using the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express. Artifex’s Modules are a common resource that can be easily obtained through Daily Assignments for your characters, ensuring a consistent supply of this valuable material.
In the past, the prestigious Golden Crowns can be obtained from the dormant areas known as Backwater Pass, or traded for equally scarce resources. However, the most lucrative way to accumulate Credits is by discovering the Golden Calyxes scattered throughout the cosmos.
Yukong requires the following materials to upgrade her combat abilities and Traces:
- Credits x2,400,000
- Artifex’s Module x28
- Artifex’s Cogwheel x42
- Artifex’s Gyreheart x42
- Harmonic Tune x12
- Ancestral Hymn x54
- Stellaris Symphony x105
- Destroyer’s Final Road x12
- Tracks of Destiny x5
To obtain Harmonic Tune, Ancestral Hymn, and Stellaris Symphony, head to the Crimson Calyx within Belobog’s Underworld, specifically at a Robot Settlement. These items can be harvested there.
When you need high-level materials, use your Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express. Simply combine lower-level materials as needed to create them.
The route known as the Destroyer’s Last Journey is a scarcely available resource that can only be acquired from the domain called Echo of War (Supply Zone). On the other hand, Tracks of Destiny can be obtained during special events, through the Embers Exchange, the Nameless Honor, or even as a reward for accumulating Simulated Universe Points.
