Speed up the pace on the battlefield using an optimal Honkai: Star Rail character build featuring Welt, affectionately known as Mr. Yang by the Astral Express crew. As a follower of The Nihility, he specializes in dealing Imaginary Damage, providing your team with a significant advantage over their opponents.
Welt’s Skill, titled “Edge of the Void,” inflicts Phantom Damage on a single opponent based on his Attack power. Subsequently, it randomly damages two extra opponents. Each hit carries a probability of decreasing the enemies’ Speed, which may slow their upcoming action and rearrange the turn sequence.
His Ultimate Ability, Artificial Black Hole, inflicts Fictitious Damage on all adversaries relative to his Attack Power and consistently activates the Imprisoned effect, slowing down their actions and decreasing their Speed. Welt’s Skill, Time Warp, enhances his damage output by boosting the Fictitious Damage he deals against slowed enemies.
In this game, the power-ups for Welt’s Eidolon are boosted whenever you get multiple copies of him. These upgrades primarily aim at increasing his attack potency.
At level 1, after using his ultimate skill, Welt’s next two basic attacks or skill uses will deal additional damage. Level 2 provides energy restoration when Welt’s unique ability is activated. At level 4, it increases the base probability of slowing down enemies hit by his skill. Lastly, at level 6, his skill gains an extra random hit on a targeted enemy.
Honkai: Star Rail – Welt: best Light Cones
In Honkai: Star Rail, the item known as Welt boasts a distinctive Light Conduit, colloquially referred to as “In the Name of the World.” This name is a clever play on words, since “Welt” means “world” in German. This Light Conduit notably amplifies the user’s damage against targets with debuffs and improves their Skill by providing Effective Hit Rate and ATK enhancements.
Applying debuffs more regularly and increasing damage on slowed-down targets is facilitated by this, enabling Welt.

Honkai: Star Rail – Welt: best Relics
World is a tricky character to master: He has a knack for wanting increased amounts of everything. His Effect Hit Rate is crucial for his role as a debuffer, while ATK, Critical Rate, and Critical Damage are essential to maximize his damage potential. At the same time, it’s important not to overlook World’s Speed, or he may fall behind. Additionally, Energy Regeneration is beneficial for charging his useful Ultimate quickly, making him a challenging character to optimally play.

Honkai: Star Rail – Welt: best teams
World finds himself in an unusual predicament, since his standout skill – hindering opponents’ progress – is not often desired or required by numerous teams. However, given his specialization in debuffing, he does have significant roles to fulfill.
- Acheron (Main DPS), Welt (Sub DPS), Pela (Support), Aventurine (Support)
In this setup, World provides the additional tools that synergize well with Acheron, allowing her to charge her Ultimate by weakening opponents alongside Pela and Aventurine – Aventurine being tasked with maintaining the team’s health. Another Primary Damage Dealer, Dr. Ratio, also gains an advantage from World’s presence as he too aims to debilitate enemies to maximize his own skills.
Honkai: Star Rail – Welt: ascension materials
To help Welt reach the highest level and fully upgrade all of his skills, here’s a breakdown of essential information.
This guide provides the steps needed for Welt to level up completely and enhance all his abilities.
Welt requires the following ascension materials to get to level 80 in addition to the necessary XP:
- Credits x308,000
- Silvermane Badge x15
- Silvermane Insignia x15
- Silvermane Medal x15
- Golden Crown of the Past Shadow x65
As a devoted fan, I’m always on the hunt for Silvermane Badges, Insignia, and Medals in the Outlying Snow Plains, Corridor of Fading Echoes, or the Simulated Universe. Not only can I obtain them from defeated enemies, but I can also craft or trade them using the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express. Silvermane Badges are a common material I gather through my daily assignments, providing a consistent supply. Golden Crowns of the Past Shadow can be found by defeating the Stagnant Shadow in the Backwater Pass or by exchanging other rare materials. However, the most abundant source of Credits is the elusive Golden Calyxes scattered throughout the universe.
Welt requires the following materials to upgrade her combat abilities and Traces:
- Credits x3,000,000
- Silvermane Badge x41
- Silvermane Insignia x56
- Silvermane Medal x58
- Obsidian of Dread x18
- Obsidian of Desolation x69
- Obsidian of Obsession x139
- Destroyer’s Final Road x12
- Tracks of Destiny x8
To review, the previously mentioned materials are located above. You’ll find Obsidians being cultivated at the Crimson Calyx (Great Mine). Just like before, you can manufacture advanced materials by processing lower-tier materials within the Omni-Synthesizer on board the Astral Express.
The Destroyer’s Last Journey is exclusively acquired from the Supply Zone area known as Echo of War, whereas Traces of Fate can be obtained through limited-time events, the Embers Swap, the Nameless Glory, or as rewards for points accumulated in a Simulated Universe.
