In the version 3.3 update of Honkai: Star Rail, the voice actors for the primary characters Caelus (male) and Stelle (female), who are more commonly recognized as the Trailblazer, have been changed to new performers.
Caleb Yen and Rachael Chau, who have been portraying characters since HSR debuted in 2023, chose not to attend any recent recording sessions for the turn-based RPG due to a show of support for the SAG-AFTRA strike. Consequently, their characters have been silent in the last few updates.
Discussion about potential replacements for the characters intensified after Hyacine’s character trailer was unveiled, featuring an unknown figure named Caelus.
The update HSR 3.3 has made it official that the duo will be swapped out, which undoubtedly wasn’t an easy choice for those concerned. In combat and the latest main story missions, players will notice the fresh voices when utilizing Trailblazer (Remembrance). Gradually, other versions of the character and older missions will be switched to the new voices in due time.
The patch notes indicate that the combat and dialogue lines for the character ‘Trailblazer (Remembrance: Ice)’, both male and female versions, are updated for the Trailblaze Mission in Version 3.3 when the voice language is set to English. Additional voice resources will be adjusted in future updates. Please consult the respective version announcements for further details.
