Hilary Swank Reflects On Being A Mom To 20 Month Old Twins; Says ‘Everything Is New Again’

As a dedicated follower of Hilary Swank‘s journey, I find myself deeply moved by her recent transformation into motherhood at 50. Her words resonate profoundly with me, as I too feel like I’ve discovered a new lease on life after experiencing my own mid-life milestones.

Hilary Swank recently became a mother to twins who are now 20 months old in the year 2023, along with her husband Philip Schneider. During an interview with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, Swank mentioned that embracing motherhood has given her a fresh perspective on life, as everything feels like a brand-new experience once more.

She shared that she emotionally identifies as thirty, despite being fifty years old. During a heartfelt discussion about her recent Christmas celebration, Swank disclosed that though her children are not yet old enough to grasp the significance of traditions, she felt particularly cherished.

During an interview on the Today show with Kotb and Hager, the actress shared that last year was their first Christmas, but the babies had no idea. This year, however, they noticed a lit-up Christmas tree for the first time, and it seemed to fascinate them greatly as they stared in wonder at the decorations and twinkling lights.

Reflecting on the transformation in her outlook towards life since becoming a mother, Swank expressed, “Everything feels fresh and new all over again.” She went on to explain, “The sentiment may sound familiar, but it’s only when you live it that you truly understand.

In her own words, the actress from The Karate Kid expressed, “Each day with them is heavenly. It’s an unending blessing, and I am filled with gratitude and joy.” Swank recently celebrated her 50th birthday but declared, “I feel like I’m thirty again, as I have two 20-month-old bundles of joy.

In the course of their chat, it came to light that prior to motherhood of the 20-month-old kids, she was nurturing another ‘baby’, a term she uses for her thriving career.

The actor from Freedom Writers expressed, “I was highly focused on my career and wasn’t prepared to have children in my twenties or even thirties. As I reached my forties, I found myself single. However, not having a partner didn’t mean I had to become one.

She continued to say, “A lot of people get donors, and that’s a wonderful option; a lot of people adopt; there’s a lot of different ways, and so I was open to anything.”

Hilary Swank started her career in films in 1992.
